  1. My tank is only small, about 230L. Downsized when we moved house a year ago, and now have too many other commitments to put the time into anything bigger. (not to mention my partner who says NO! ) As for your tank, I really don't know...I want to say yes, as its sounds like a great home for my clowns but only you can really make that call??
  2. what size tank have you got? i currently have 20-25 clowns, about 10 are around 10cm 4 14cm the biggist 1 is about 19cm and the rest are about 8cm 3 15cm yoyo 5 4cm strata 5 3cm chains do you think more will fit the 700L for 1 year till i get the 12000L completed if you do i would be keen as (the ones i got for $75 were realy 10cm bar 1 maybe 14cm)
  3. aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww dont tempt me like that haha i would love to buy them but dont have enoth room in my 700L wat sort of $ were you thinking? if you could hold on to them for anothere year i would love to take them then they will be able to go into the big tank
  4. Clowns are definitely more active in big groups  they are all out chasing each other round and round awesome fish. And thanks Malcolm for the extras they have really changed the rest of the group
  5. I have about 25ish clowns from 8cm to 20cm with 4 5cm discus and the discus are the first to get food ever time, the clowns don't stand a chance because the discus snap the food up as soon as it hits the water. people say that they shouldn't be kept together because clowns like fast flowing water and discus don't but my discus are the opposite they stay down the end of the tank swimming into the current strait from the power head.
  6. sweet ill take them if thats cool does tomorow suit for pick up please txt me on 0277289280 cheers chris

  9. here's a link to loaches online where i posted the build and some plans. http://forums.loaches.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22794
  10. no typo i am about to start the build will take me a while but i'm in no hurry "do it once do it wright" so lots of researching and talking to some clever people the tank will be mainly loach orientated with clowns being the number 1 (my favourite fish of cores) but there is a lot of room so who knows what else ill jump at. I currently have angels, discus, neon's,pleco, gourmai with the loaches (chains, kuhli, striata, clowns) david what is your user name on trade me if you don't mind me asking? as i brought or have bid on a lot of clowns over the last year ish. Heres Emma Turners Marge in the photo she was 10.5 inches but when she died she was getting close to 12 i think. The loach next to a ruler to prove it,that's the biggest iv seen in photo http://www.loaches.com/species-index/photos/c/chromobotia_macracanthus_05.jpg/view
  11. yes i have been in contact with them and the largest they had was 6.5cm and they dont want to import large ones in
  12. i am also on the forum loaches online and have seen people overseas buying them at 10 inches but that's overseas and was wondering if anyone had done it here? i have been keeping an eye on trade me for the last year and a bit and have only managed to come across 10-20cm ones at the max which i snapped up quick smart my lfs isn't the best with fish and doesn't seem interested in any fish i'm after, they do have a few clown in a show tank at about 10cm i have asked to buy a few times with no success if you ever want to sell some ill be keen and i will be prepared to pay $$$ they will be happy in my new tank 12000L!!!
