The tank needs a bit of work, but there has been some pretty good growth since the lights went on. Haven't taken many pic's lately, but will try to post some simi decent ones soon. Peak-a-boo... Cheers, Jake.
  5. Just lucky I guess mate! Jansen's Mt Eden have had theirs for ages so i got my 2 biggest off them, the other 4 I got through my work (Jansen's Henderson), but they arent that big yet, probably around 6cm, and one about 8cm. Yea I really like the red guy aye! According to one of the guys on PC I have 2 Bunocephalus amazonicus, numbers (3) and (4). So I betta set up a couple of tanks then!
  6. Yup mine have been doing the same thing most of the time, just sitting and inhaling. My big girl was out the other night though, and hunting around for food! They are feeding pretty well on choped earth worms, blood worms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and the occasional flake. Any one else out there got them?

I'm going to set them up is a biotope tank soon, to see if I can get them too breed for me (Just trying a new challenge  ), Im sure it will be a great tank to watch!!! Im pretty sure that I have 2 different species too (5x Bunocephalus coracoideus and 1x Bunocephalus amazonicus- thats the red one). Any way heres some pics... Anyway, anyone else out there keeping these? Cheers, Jake. BTW, thats the normal view of them in the top photo!

  12. Yea I'm pretty sure that its one of cookies, at least thats what the guy I got it off said. It's nice what where eva its from!
  13. Oh cool, I just did a google for that, and it looks like one that came up as a Pin Cushion Leather. Anyone else agree/disagree? Lol, my half of that 'shroom is coming along nicely too. Cheers.

  16. I know I have got cyno (not really that much tho, as it only grows on top of my T-return). But still it would be nice to get rid of it! The rest of the bubbles are from the my filter as it puts out a fair few. I dont have a skimmer at the moment, but I have paid for one and should hopefully get it later this week. So that should help. Hahaha, thanks plecs. Yea its about time we got back in touch! I can assure you my ego is fine!...my heads getting pretty big, but my ego is fine!! lol, its coming...promise. Yup, I already have fish in there. Flick back through this post and I have pic's of most of them. Cheers, Jake.

    Wow

Lol, know what you mean too. My camera hit 6000, then reset for some reason, and i'm up to about 7000+ the second time round
  20. Fed most of those mentioned. But also yam's fresh, not cooked, and weighted down with plant lead. Most of my fancy plec's and BN's used to love them. Also broad beans went down well. Cheers.

  22. Generally I have my camera in manual and just fiddle with the settings till I'm happy. Bought my Birthday/Christmas present from my parents today A pair of Bengaii Cardinals...Awesome fish! Will post a pic once they settle in and come out the front, good thing is they are eating all ready, so I'm happy bout that. Cheers, Jake.
  23. Hahah thanks for the comments guys. My camera is a Fujifine Pix S5500, so its not that great. Hopefully will save enough to upgrade some stage. Cheers.

    Camera Choice

Thanks guys. Yup I'm using the S5500, it's not the greatest camera in the world by any means! I just learn't how to use all the settngs to get the best results. The shadow is from the built in flash. Definatly agree with Tom, DSLR's are the way to go. Personally I would go with a Canon (350D or something) as they have a great reputation for the best pic quality. Just my 2cents.
  25. Cheers guys. I Finally got round to taking some coral pic's. Also I added 2 new fish, a Midas Blenny and a Red Coral Goby. Very cool . Anyway some more pic's.... Midas Blenny: Candy Cane: This piece I picked up at about 1.5mm, I didn't even know wat it was. 2 months growth... Hammer: Star Polpys: Buttons: Cheers, Jake.
