Emptied old holding tank so decided to do a Biotope for Neon Tetras.

Fish: Will be putting 10 neons in.
I still need to get some beech or oak leaves to put on the bottom and less powerful light.
Should i put paint the background black?

2 weeks i wouldn't leave it that long.. I thought that Co2 encouraged plants to establish new roots. although i wouldn't start the Co2 until about a week until the tank has settled.
snails, lots of em. or sum LDA25s which are armored versions of otos, but i don't know how long they will survive. they might get harassed to death. (the LDA25s are $35 each if i remember correctly).

You can acclimatize Golden Barbs, Guppies, Bronze and peppered corys. all to live in cold water.
I have had all of these in cold water and they were fine.
