    I just noticed that my male GBA has a red blood blister on top of it's head.... Here's a less than average picture (click to enlarge) - I've only got my mobile phone.... Any ideas what to do or what caused it? Looks almost like it was burnt on the heater perhaps?

    that's definitely a Female. Beautiful too. Wait till late spring. As the temperature warms up, spiders will become more active. Spring rain can also flood burrows and cause them to surface and wander. Males will be more common then too, searching for females to mate.

    You look at the pedipalps, which are they appendages closest to the fangs. The males have an extra appendage on the end of them called the cymbium, which holds the palpal organ, which holds the sperm. Females don't have this end piece, but still have pedipalps.     Very nice. I was thinking of trying this, but with no base, just two angled sides and a roof and putting it directly on the substrate.

    You just described Auckland weather everyday...... :lol: I agree. But you can't have summer without spring, and the quicker spring comes, the quicker summer will. 8)

    My gouramis constanly make bubblenesst and rip off pieces of plant to stick in them? They tug at them quite hard too.
