the guy that made it David Blyth lives in auckland and it took us weeks and weeks to make one doco, it was alot of fun but alot of work, it was on the auckland clubs but to show that nz do have fish clubs, i have already had a few phone calls asking how to become a member of a fish club, so if i get any that i can pass on to clubs out side auckland i will be doing just that,

next weekend is my last weekend in pupuke aquarium its going to be so sad to walk away after so many years........... the new owner takes over on the friday so fingers crossed he gives me the weekend off , as i have to work for him a week to get him up to speed, cant say who he is yet as he works for another shop but i can tell you he will do well at pupuke aquarium.

auckland, north shore and south auckland club has an interclub comp every year round this time, showing the best tanks from each club. we have a crawl. its lots of fun you can see just how much fun on the doco we did that is on tv3 1pm easter monday .

i have a copies of it with out the adds in so when it has been aired i can give it to the FNZAS library, I'm meant to be getting copies for everyone that was in the doco.

the thing that pisses me off is that this site isnt ment to run down shops or people! there are wholesales i dont deal with but i dont run them down

so mean people think running a shop is easy well its not!! i would love some of you to walk in a shop keepers day for a week, its not just games you are dealling with people and teaching them about keeping fish!! yes some shops have different ideas but that is life there is more than one way to do things.

with out shops no one would have fish!!!!!!!! if you don't support the shops then no ones wins , yes we put 100% on fish but we have over heads and losses and also people come in for info and as that is free we have to pay our self so by charging we are making a living not robbing people, you can go to the wholesales but at the end of the day will they teach you what you need to know or will they just take your $$$$$ :evil:

well all i have to say on the matter before you throw stones have you talked to the retailer? always look at a fish very well before you buy it and if it doesnt look 100% you can always as the shop to hold them for you, also who says it wasnt in your tank?

just an idea you might find 7.30 a better time as it gives people a bit of time to get home

yes hide the remote :lol: i have to do that with mine all the time. i still havent been given a time yet but i will get it to you. im just glad the are putting it on.... its about time.

ok we have a date for the doco that the north shore and aucklmand club did on keeping fish! its Easter monday!!!!! dont have a time yet but it will be on and fingers crossed it will get more people into fish and into joining fish clubs

i sell most fish!!! no african's at the moment but the new owner of the shop will put them in. i have 100's of golden black eyes b/n :lol:

yes i remember you now , im sorry to hear about your dog i remember she was your babie. livebearer_breeder at the moment im not going discount to members , i have before and will again but with the shop selling i have a deal with the new owner so i have to sell him a set number with the shop, but once the shop goes i will be selling from home so i can do discounts to club members, but other than that i wont be selling cheeper than the shops.

hi kevin, always good to hear how my babies are doing thanks for letting me know, fingers crossed i sold you a male and female (im 99% sure they are) snowman, yes thats me on trade me :lol: , just making sure everyone know how much they are and didnt try and rip you off (if you know what i mean), i have 100's of babies as well or should i say 500+ ? are you the eftpos man , the one that did the doco thats going on tv? (if so i have a copie of it)

auckland club and north shore club are having our yearly interclub comp in april and we use to do it with south auckland club but as they dont have the numbers now its only us two clubs so once you get up and going it will be great if we could have you guys in the comp, if you want to see what the comp is like or you just want to see the best tanks from each club you are more than welcome to come along (as long as the person that owns th tank doesnt mind.

im madly setting up tanks at home for all my babies and mum and dad! i just have my fingers crossed that they breed as good at home as they have at work....... i now have my 11th lot of babies now :lol: and i still cant grow them fast enough to sell.

yes its a gold nugget wish i could buy zebras at that price now............i use to pay $80 now they are sky high

thanks Alan , im just glad i got to catch up with you the other day. wok, thats ok you will still see me round as im not dropping off the face of this earth, i will have more time to breed fish at home and im going to give our club the up and go it needs at the moment. but the new own (fingers crossed he buys it) is great!! he is our first choice, we headhunted him as we know he will do a great job in my shop. Caryl, yes it was very hard and it will be hard to leave as it is a passion to me not just a job, but one door closes and another one opens, mum and dad will still do the hire tank thing but thats only 1 1/2 days a week, so that will be great for them as for me who knows...... i have been offered a few jobs and one is a rep for one of my wholesales, it would be good i could order in some really cool stuff :lol:
