look at the packet, a few that are round are out of date!! if the date is not to far out of date it will still work!! you get about 1-2 bubbles at the start then up to 5-10 it does take a few days to start up! also a week or two to get going really good!!

or give your lfs a call and they can order you one in.

they are great filters and you should find parts at marrey pets or pupuke aqurium, best to take the part in as they have a few different size shafts for the different models, i have had one of these filters since they first came in over 7yrs ago and i love it, they are just as good as eheims.

PENEJANE looking at your pic and they are great but it looks like you dont have polystyrene under your tank, you should have it under your tank its a must!!

yes it is so lovely, they are not that hard to breed its a matter of getting my hands on another one that will be the hard thing, the owner of the zebra said if i find a partner he is more than happy to lend it out to breed as its sad to think nz wont get any more of these magical fish

hang on re read it, paint can only be used on outside, get black plastic it might cost more but is safe on your fish

i use black board paint!!!!!!! it gives you a lovely sharp black, but you have to put 3-4 coats on and YES IT IS SAFE FOR YOUR FISH!!!!

havent sexed it yet as i dont want to as i cant get my hopes up, but he has said if i can find a mate for it i can breed from it. he doesnt breed with it as he has only got one.

we have a water filter on our tape at work, it is so much better and if you work out the cost of stresscoat & stresszyme or aqua plus and cycle, you will save money over the years, stresszyme or cycle only are needed in the first set up stages of setting up a tank (8 weeks) and if your fish get sick its good to use for the 6 weeks after using meds .

rocks! my lung fish would like them i mean would look nice in the tank but will look very very empty with just him in the tank. what fish do you like? you could put in fire mouths, oscars, fire eels, just to name a few

ok 1 - cross breed angels 2- had to see but more likely swordtails looking at the shape 3-Corydoras Jullii i would say but again hard to see 4 -is a golden zebra loach (hope you have more than one they like having friends and do best in groups) lovely fish. 5 -you have rummy nose tetra, flame tetra, platy or swordtails but looks more like a swordtail to me & cardinal tetras oh and the rock is very sort after they came from America, i could sell 100's of them if i could get hold of them , i have sold 1000's of them

ok the new owner of pupuke aquariums is Brent, he works at Jensen, we headhunted him because he use to work for us many years ago , in fact his mum and his sister have worked for us so we have known him for many many years and when we had to sell the shop because dad is to sick to work i couldn't think of anyone i would want to take on our name. Brent will be taking over as new owner next week sometime, i will be working part time next week for him and then im off its going to kill me to walk away , but i know brent will do me proud .

well i know north shore club and auckland fish club will not have any objections to them joining i think its great and it will be great having another club joining the auckland interclub (thats if they want to join us )

no they don't have a meeting every Tuesday, its only once a month. north shore has theres the 1st Tuesday of the month! Auckland (greenbay) has theres on the 2nd Tuesday of the month! east hasn't worked out what week or day as far as i know, but when they do we can all spread the word

yes a one off show, mind you with the hours and hours david has of filming you never know he could make more. :lol:

we also did a dvd with david , a fish tank tv dvd was lots of fun
