  1. do you feed seafood to just marine fish or freshwater too? (ie guppies, kribensis ect)
  2. you have to watch with algae eaters tho as they can get really agressive,my mums killed a heap of her guppys overnight and the ones i used to have used to pick on my bigger fish too. i love those biiiig snails as cleanup crews, they dont make mess and everything is sparkly afterwards lol, just gotta watch it with them if you get a breeding pair as you will be over run with them and they do tend to chew on your plants,my tanks have never been cleaner since i got mine tho 8)
  3. i keep baby apple snail in all of my guppy traps with newborns to keep them clean (which works amazingly well) and some adults in all my bigger tanks, ive got a 15-10 l tank that has most of my babys in atm-roughly 100-150 guppys and it was getting a bit messy so chucked in one of my adult snails, about 10 min later i went back in to check on it and there was about 25+ guppy fry circling the snail, which was still in the shell,i watched for a bit and one of the tenticles came out and all the guppys lunged for it  in went the snail and the fry all fell back to watch it intently again!!! it was so funny! they just hung there not moving waiting for it lol. i have found that guppys are on the dumber end of the scale and havent got much personality compared to things like kribensis, fighters ect but it was quite cool to see new behaviour (well new for me) in them,i keep guppys as i like the constant movement they give to a tank and love all the different strains you can get but i got a bit of a laugh from this

  11. some of my females do that too,i kept one and bred it with one of my males and she lost her stripes
  12. how closely can you breed fish? i got two fighters off a hobby breeder and he couldnt remeber if they had the same fathers or not?? i dont really want to risk it but a shame as they are both beautifulll fish,i have lots of different pairs so can easily mix and match,i always keep records of who comes from who tho,if it happened that they did 'interbreed' do you get deformed fish?
  13. yea i want to keep them,if i dont give them to friends and family i sell them, yea i think i gonnna take them away, just dont like dong it because they are such good parents
  14. my kribs are just rearing their 2nd lot of fry, they hatched on the 31st of dec,the ones before that where on the 30th or nov but i took them away at three weeks old. now the female is building up eggs again and is getting quite fat and she has been going in and out of their pot they claimed for the last two lots of fry. will they breed again with fry around them or should i take the fry away?

  19. i have a 30cm common pleco that has been living in my tank peacefully for ages now, yesterday went to the petshop and they had a 25cm ish albino pleco they where giving away free,i fell in love with it instantly and took it home, now my original pleco and the albino are inseperable!!! they lay next to each other all the time, squish into the same log and just ;hang out' round the tank together its so cool to watch and i didnt know plecos did that also in that tank i have a breeding 5som of gba,20 ish guppy,a pair of kribs and a khuli loach, they must all be happy with this combo as they are all popping out babies everywhere and they all seem to stick to certain areas of the tank!!! gbas have claimed the rocks, kribs have got the pots, guppies hang around the top and the plecos chill in the log or on the walls......the khuli dissapeares for weeks atr a time ever since i changed the base to a finer gravel......he loooooovvvvvveeessss it lol
