  1. my partner just said that special adaptation is the fact that we can consume extra air to allow us to talk and fart from the wind whistling through our ears  ............he got a smack
  2. are there any fighter breeders in the waikato area that have halfmoons? im looking for a couple of nice halfmoons to add to my breeding stock as my main breeder has recently died also interested in the setups of other betta breeders, ive only just really got a productive setup but it could do with some helpfull ideas lol
  3. out of water for a long amount or time out of water????? typo lol???? um dno if thats classed as drowning....maybe hyper intoxication of oxygen lol
  4. love your avater davidb, thought there was a bug on my screen n tried squishing it lol
  5. haha ok,i have one khuli as i liked the look of him when i was 1st ever stocking my tanks but im looking at getting him some friends, ive been breeding bettas for a while now but it took a long time to perfect the rearing process.....couldnt get enough food into them when they where 1st hatched......they wouldnt even take liquifry! then i found they would go nutty over egg yolk !! where are you from?
  6. lol i will re phrase my question....havent heard of it used for fish b4? i use it for toothache all the time at the moment for my wisdom teeth because im allergic to most pain medication
  7. ive never heard of clove oil b4? how does it work?
  8. lol bettas can drown as they breath air from outside the water,if they get stuck under the water they drown lol,im sure there would be more fish like that too. farting  ........watch one swimming and look for bubbles
  9. if it works let me know i have an exelent breeding male and two good females i would try if it does....i would be worried about the extra female eating them? also the only big thing is that you lose alot of eggs on a planted bottom. i usually have twice as many fry on a bare bottom tank and as i feed them egg yolk its easier to clean too, what do you feed yours? do you breed khuli loaches too?
  10. are you planning on breeding them in a communal tank? you might find that none of the fry will survive, also for the nests, try floating a ring of bubblewrap in the water with a big hole in the middle,it helps keep the nest together and encorages the male to make a nice big nest
  11. well the krib fry are now out and swiming around with the parents today theyr looking really good have cleared their tank out so the only others in there is a khuli loach and a breeding pair of bristles
  12. the smallest is the same size as my female krib and the biggest is a bit bigger than the male. about 5 1/2 6 inch
  13. yea they are rapidly becoming my faves so far good parents too are they ok in with red jewels when they are breeding? im thinking of moving them in with the bigger fish as they have killed a guppy or two that where stupid enough to make a go for the eggs
  14. woohoo!!! my breeding pair of kribensis have just become parents!!! a lovely big lot of eggs in the cave i built them the eggs have hatched and when i shine a torch in i can see them wriggling everwhere been a couple of days now since they have hatched so hoping to see them out soon
  15. lol, that link is good, the park looks like fun,do you happen to know hayley mitchell? or johnny freeman?
  16. yes he was but then he got the job with his wife carol choreographing (spelling??) and managing the webber bros circus tours,he made illusions, the time traveller and then la jester b4 quitting to start up a park i think? not too sure what kind of park exactly lol. he was still one of the lead people in the ring when i was there but he had given up flying
  17. yup he was running the time traveller show, their second big show after illusions and then i left before they went on to do la jester that was a while ago now,im going back a few years lol
  18. lol no i have seven tanks but those two are my display tanks out on the house and are the ones i see all the time so getting a bit bored with same old same old
  19. im getting tired of my tanks now and need a new look for them,i have a 90l for my cichlids and a pleco and a 60l for my livebearers that are in full view of everything so need a change, i love the look or the planted tanks but my pleco rips up everything that i put in there and then the cichlids eat them  and im not sure if sand is a good idea for them??? they swim quite fast and dont know if they would kick the sand up heaps? i think i want to change my gravel for sand for the 60l and get a nice plant coverage in there,i really like the grassy type plants but need to keep some rocks as there is a pair of kribs in with the guppys too. anyone got some pics to give me ideas?
