wow they are some beautifull fish

it depends tho,built up bird feces can creat ammonia (i think ive got the right name) that is bad for anyones health,especially someone dependant on oxygen,also birds that are cramped together are more likely to get diseases that can be then passed onto humans

oh and yes mystic i mentioned this site and was told that the person didnt have time to play around on computers like i obviously did :roll: i am honestly just trying to help and not cause problems,it a tricky situation and i would be happy to help if they wanted it but they dont

ok ill try and answer all the different sides here 1. im not trying to name and shame,just to protect potential sellers from turning up and getting the abuse i did 2.idid ask the person if she had done research into looking after her CURRENT fish and that i wasnt comfortable leaving the fish she had asked for BUT i was happy to help her clean her tanks out and swap some breeds around so they werent in such cramped tanks,i got abused. 3. i then asked the person if i could help to rearrange some of the bird outside (around 30 per cage) and try and set up some of the spare cages to house some birds so they werent so cramped....i got abused 4. i told the person if they where looking at getting rid of any animals i could help trying to find homes as the person is on oxygen and could hardly make coffee let alone clean 20+ feces encrusted cages....more abuse so i left WITH my fish. 5.yes i contacted spca,phone call wasnt answered so i sent an email,only saying that there was a person over in ................... and would they please go check out the condition of the animals as it was my opinon that there where too many for the person to cope with (i didnt say they are neglected,scrawny messes) i never heard back from them!!! and now the woman tried phoning and asking for more fish which i said i had 'run out' but as i see she is still looking for more i thought i might warn some people to maybe avoid the buyer?? i have tried other channels but im not getting much success

hey what are the rules of warning people about a certain buyer on the auction site? theres someone on there that when delivering a load of fish i found ALOT of animals in REALLY bad condition and was thinking for the safety of future fish (i didnt leave mine behind) maybe it might be good to not alow this bidder to win auctions?? I dont want to start trouble,i feel really bad for this person but the individual is really unwell themselves and i dont think is physically able to look after so many animals

ive found the culprit!!! went down to the petshop today to get meds and she said there have been heaps of aquriam owners comming in with fish showing 1st paralysis then dying and it is caused by phospherous,im kicking myself because i had the same prob this time last year and got it treated but this time symptoms where slightly different and so thought it was something else. i have now treated the tank with phospherous remover and so far the fish that have been affected are looking good i did lose my huuuuuuuuggggeeee blonde girl tho

thanks,im setting up a hospital tank now will leave it to warm up and then add them,ive added salt (aquarium salt) untill i can get to the pet store tommorow willl take some water samples down too to see if they can find anything i have missed

ok ive bred some lovely blondes and my tanks have been healthy for ages now suddenly out of a tank of about 50+ fish 3 of my 7 blondes have died!!! and some others are showing symptoms,im so gutted as i was just getting some beautifull fish. here are symptoms : partial paralysis,it seems as if the lower end gets affected slightly redened gills breathing faster some seem to float and are unable to right themselves die after 24 hours of starting symptoms also seems to be attacking my blondes!!!! ph is fine just checking the rest now but has been fine for the last week as ive done constant checks after the first two died going to pet shop tommorow to see what they say

how about mollies or swordtails? my 1st choice would be rams tho

how hard are they to breed?

mums just come over and has a problem with her tank,she had two guppys die and a whole heap of snails,she does 90 % water changes every week so ive told her to change them to 30-50% instead and she adds water conditionar every time,her ph is fine and due to the water changes ammonia is fine too (tho at the end of the week its probobly spiked) she says she does the big water changes because she gets alot of brown algae on everything but the tank is not in the sun? any ideas on how to fix these probs?

its so wierd because she was still eating so she would have a feed n be swimming around fine then suddenly up her tail would go and she would start swimming vertically again!!! she was'nt bloated,waters fine,still had a good appetite,no other symptoms?? strange fish lol
