  1. Here is a cute clip of the rasbora playing in the current. I like how they let themselves be carried out and then go back for more

Make sure you do a good job, I may come and spy on your handiwork :smln:
  3. awwww I hope he lives a long LONG time
  4. ok I have some more finely meshed plastic stuff I can use if there are any casualties.
  5. I will have another look, thanks I will not be ringing 123 because half the time I get the Philipines and they cannot process information that is not described in the manner they are expecting to hear it. It's far too hard for me to have a friendly discussion with them. All communication with Telecom lately is through the online chat or by email, which seems to get answered by someone in this country. Not necessarily a better outcome but a less frustrating experience on the whole. If I can't sort this one I'd rather go into a Telecom shop and present my case to a surly teenager aka shop assistant and see how far I get instead.
  6. Yum what are the mains? Looks like pineapple studded ham on the left and I can't make out what the others are other than delicious looking

We had a picnic in the park and I spent most of the rest of the day sewing. And a 2 hour walk around and about late in the PM. Now planning New Years Day food... !drool:
  8. That's good news for Bruce. Just wondering did you try rice instead of pasta? It's lighter on the digestion and less protein than pasta, whereas you mentioned high protein he didn't do well on. I know for humans wheat has a part that is indigestible but am not sure if a dog's stomach can cope with it or not.
  9. !drool: that green bubble coral is cool
  10. It shows like a disk in the F drive so maybe I'm wrong about it being seen as a removable disk. Anyway the files are Driver: folders within are res>Vista>Vista-AMD64>Win7>Win7-AMD64. I've opened all of these and there is nothing resembling the sort of files we are looking for. HUAWEI_DIALUP: within is the application to run dial up res: inside that are icons and the bits that make up the images.
  11. Apparently these fish not only tolerate more hardness, some of them do well in it. I rushed out and bought some meth blue anyway so I have it on hand if I need it and I will keep an eye on the rest.
  12. There is a second hand approx 3 foot tank for sale at Onehunga PetStop for $30 if you feel like a drive over. Looks reasonably well used but might be good for a holiday fix
  13. I believe it, it was destined to be chomped. And although it didn't make it to the christmas table but it will still be 'around' tomorrow in another form.... Pak n Save had some you put together yourself, about $10 or $20
  14. Do you mean leave them in the bottom of the tank after they fall through? I was going to keep them in the same tank but move them in the net breeding box next door in same tank. So to clarify, in one tank are CPDs, in the other there are erythromicron. Each has a compartment for spawning and a compartment for eggs/fry. I understood that eggs don't like change of water too much and young fry also so I was aiming to keep them all in their original tanks till they are big enough to put elsewhere. Have added a second airstone to the CPD tank.
  15. It isn't an android or any sort of iphone, is just a 'phone' phone. Under Connectivity there is Network access point (options are Telecom Default/Telecom Content/TelecomMMS/Telecom Data) and Streaming Settings (options are Default access point/Streaming gateway/QoS (quality of stuffingaround)) I can't find anything in any menu that looks like usb or pc options and certainly nothing about storage device. I don't think we have wireless anything at home other than the bluetooth on the phones. Thanks for the offer Wok, but I will probably be going out shortly and miss you. Probably I will take it to a Telecom shop and they will either do that thing that happens when you ask for help with PC stuff - they press 1 button and it works like magic, or they will tell me it doesn't do it or it has to be done by bluetooth.
  16. Decided to keep track of my efforts by starting a log. After a few weeks of messing around in my fish room I've ended up with 2 breeding/grow out tanks for my fishy experiments. I did have rasbora maculatus in here but that didn't come to anything. Now there are danio margaritatus (celestial pearl danio/galaxy rasbora) and danio erythromicron (emerald dwarf rasbora). In this breeding box are 2 male and 2 female CPDs. Tank approx 25L, box filter. Who says girls can’t make stuff? :digH: The box. Holes now plugged. Mmmm nice gluing. Astute plastic box aficionados will notice the cut up Clipit grill as the base. Closeup of my gluing skills :rotf: Box in situ Eggs ‘should’ fall through to the tank where I will scoop them up and put them in the netting box. Netting box since attached to tank separately. Separate breeding tank Left to right – 7 danio erythromicron (emerald dwarf rasbora) (I originally bought 5, then 1 disappeared, presumed dead. Bought 2 more. Found the 7th one this morning after approx 1 week of being missing  . Middle - moss where there may be eggs lurking. Marbles & gravel on bottom. Far right - previous abode of CPDs, possibly eggs lurking also. Divider suckers from HFF. Dividers made of Perspex. Tank approx 25 litres. Sponge filter.
  17. cool, that's what I did with the cellphones. So if the combined nerd brains of the world and my muffin brain can't figure out how to share files through the usb cable I have to buy something like these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/SearchResults.aspx?searchType=all&searchString=bluetooth+adapter&type=Search&generalSearch_keypresses=9&generalSearch_suggested=17 plug in to the PC, tell the PC to use it/discover and then the mobile can find it? All I have to do now is work out if Telecom will charge me for sending files that way. I bet they will  I am trying to avoid using the mobile to connect to the internet or I will be charged for data. Since I already pay for broadband I can download stuff on the PC and then zap them over. Somehow :slfg:
  18. OK i googled where to find it and I don't have bluetooth. I only have the ethernet card thingy in my network adaptors
  19. it's ok, your suggestion prompted me to find out about bluetooth instead of being an ignoramus and using the manual I have managed to pair up the 2 cellphones in the house and send a photo from one to the other. I don't think the PC has bluetooth but I will keep hunting for it. Still think I should be able to put things in and out of it as a file folder though
  20. I just described that the phone does appear in the drives when I connect it... the phone has bluetooth, however I know nothing about bluetooth.
  21. I have a Huawei U3100/Telecom U3100N and I want to be able to look up stuff online ie pics or ringtones on Zedge and then copy them to the phone, and to be able to transfer photos from the phone to the PC. When I connect the phone to the PC using the usb cable I get a pop up software tool that offers file transfer and to connect the pc to the phone as if it's a modem. If I click File Transfer nothing happens. If I go to My Computer and find the phone it's there as a removable storage, but if I right click there aren't any folders that look like something I could drop something into, they are just the system folders of the phone. I did try to copy something there anyway but it rejected it as the file was too large. The instruction manual for the phone is useless and I got no reply from the support website for another question so I won't bother them with this. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? :an!gry
