this is my pair that spawned last week the male has the slightly bent dorsel ? fin - the pictures i have seen on TM looked like these guys

they could just be plain old angels - just the silver with the black stripe - i saw someone else list them on TM with that name so i used it. is there any way to tell what they are so i get the common name right ?

i wasnt running any airpumps when they were sitting in the spare tank but i run 2x 10" bubble walls in the tank i moved them from and too... another thing - is temp differences a biggy ? i only have one heater so couldnt keep the temps the same between the 2 tanks when moving water around.

came true - there was water between my tank and my cabinet - so i moved my fishes to my new spare (thank goodness i had it) and cleaned up the water checked for leaks and cracks - thankfully nothing :bounce: - while the fish were out i took the chance to remove some sand since i thought there was too much in the tank - then put the fish back - its been a long 2 1/2 hours but im wondering if i should put anything in for the fishes to make sure they dont die on me.. any ideas or should they be fine ? TIA Skip

where do you get the black silica sand from ? i got the white stuff but since my severums have lighen'd up i want to get some black sand for the new tank they are going in eventually other wise i will try the grey play sand thats in my daughters sand pit

it wasnt a problem since my wife told me that i wasnt going to get a bigger tank - im sure she knows that i dont listen to her - that heater would have been handy but now i have to spend more on one that was big do you have anything else you are selling with that tank ? like a filter, heater, airpump etc etc

im almost there with getting her to approve the tank - maybe another day of sweet talking her :wink: - then i just need to organise another filter and heater, just sold an old heater bugger it !!!

thanks morcs - thats a good list - i will take a look at each of these - peaceful sounds like the way i want to go since ive seen what convicts can do to other poor fish the lone oscar in a tank thing gets me closer to having a oscar and is a good idea but i want to move my severums to give them more room. what about silver dollars or red belly pacu's ? could i keep them in a 200L ?

they look pretty cool - how big do they get ? and better question - whats an average price on these

Phoenix - you are making this harder for me... i guess i need to take a look at whats available here and then work out what i like the best... i was hoping to have my 3 sevs and maybe a couple of other big fish - dont want small fish really in this tank
