    Cool site, may come in handy when we have the small tank comp again......if we have it again. Which reminds me, did that other tank comp fizzle out?

    I was fencing down the back today and came across a old fulla and his grandson who were feeding a eel, the boy had a piece of meat tied to a fishing line, the eel would grab it and start thrashing just as if he was caught on a hook,he'd come right up out of the water, it was quite amazing to watch. He was fairly large, and I was amazed at the width of his tail. Apparently this has been going on for years and all the grandchildren have been doing it whenever they come to stay.

    we got one to replace our Sunsun which we really didn't like. Much better product, easier to keep clean, much nicer to look at. Prolly my only complaint would be the noise of the filter head, we don't really notice it during the day but I wake up early in the morning and it's all I can hear. We have a 200watt heater , but a 150 would prolly be OK, the rule of thumb is generally 1watt per ltr.

    you can either buy a master test kit from your LFS, it can be a bit pricey but they last ages, some people do it weekly, we only do it when we remember, or if we have probs. Or you can just take a water sample in to your LFS and they'll do what ever you need.

    There's a fig tree in Palmy, or there used to be 20 years ago, just up Roberts drive by the big red tomato on Napier Rd, on the left hand side as you're going up the hill, we used to get figs there all the time. meh, sorry, just checked on google and it's all changed, no fig tree, even the big red tomato's gone :oops:
