  1. Yes Dawn wellpark is very close to me im on old mill rd.Ye mike when i saw your place you were raising quite a few and it looked like it was very succsesful bith of your species.Yes Dawn I wil be selling some if I raise them properly and get like a 150 out of the 200 cheers

  3. there are a few guppies in the wild in nz there mainly in the waikato and apparently have been found in lake taupo where all the sailfin mollies,swords and plecos are
  4. no thats for all of them Lb not one and there is only two vet check and a minimum of three supivisor checks
  5. yes those are quite expensive but not ridicuolous like the permit costing you a grand but everything apart from the permit is reasonable $500 for maf vets and freight depends on ur exporter

I may be getting some butterfly plecos but i cannot just bring in the amount that i want and was wondering if anyone was interested int them they should be here in 3-4 months and ready aqnd the asking price would be $80 each compared to petshops $150 each they are really cool cats just asking whether anyone wans any this is not confirmed but just trying to find out who wants them and see how many i should get if there available cheers

  11. i just found them there common name is banded whiptail and scientific name is Rineloricaria microlepidogaster there real cool and my male has a massive beard and looke really cool
  12. I came back from south island today and brought a new pair of whiptails from the tirau fish shop just windering the species name of these guys heres a pic from another website but did not have species name and planet catfish dont have either any body know what they are

  15. Just wondering who out there has the wild variation of the guppy if not can you tell me where in the waikato river to catch them as i know there in wild. pic below is pretty similar what im after
  16. ye phillz i used to get normal male to females with this longfin but then i found that it was actually a deformity i stopped as male cannot breed they are actually very common cheers

  18. ye it does possibly as in my L144 my female has grown very slowly compared to the males and in my bn my femaleds also grow very slow but it is not a certanty it might just be your dominant male being agrresive and not letting the other grow so thats what is possible aswell but any way good luck on trying to breed them Cheers

  22. nah alan a male has to have bristles up his nose to breed and 5cm is right and age doesnt matter
  23. Agassizi are not as hardy as common cockatoos but are not that hard about the same as discus and if you put with othere dwarfs they fight like hell so only same tank and one male per tank.

    OB Zebras

    Just wondering are Ob zebras very common in new zealand

Yes males do protect and fan eggs so the father does care for them.Mine started breeding at 6cm or as soon as males have there britles start to go up the face and females are always the slow growers i find in ancistrus sp as some of my babies the males are 5cm and getting bristles and what i think are females from the same batch are only 3cm long.Are you wanting to breed the ones i gave you?
