any advice on breeding scolofi i got give about 20 of these guys i was just wondering

thanks guys the fry are doing really well i was scared that the parents might eat the eggs as was there first spawn and these guys usually eat up to there first 4 spawns before getting it right i just guess i got a pair of good parents i have 80-100 fry and are about 3mm long

they can actually bred in two ways depends on your condition or how high the water is they can buil bubblenest if the water is low enough or they can deposit eggs on the floor if the water level is high

I would say they were Trichopsis vitta as look at the vertical stripes coming down and pumila do not have this also look at the eye it is not bright blue which would either suggest females or that they are vitta I also got those Trichopsis schalleri i said to them are they croaking and hollywood said that they were blue lace which i found a bit odd but i brough them anyway

nz is buy far easier to import fish than it is to import austrailia in aussie they have to bring catfish in illegaly as most catfish are banned over there eg a normal pleco costs $40 and here there like $5

Has anyone bred these plecos L052 or the butterfly pleco as i am thinking of getting 5 of these and having a go at breeding them any advice on breeding them would be good

i got them from bird barn at $10 for the pair but they are usually are about $14 each but the guy at birdbarn had no nidea what they were so he said ten bucks and i brought them lol

hey i dont really reckon that it would be worth to ship daphnia as there will most probably be someone done thier with them or if not you can just get a colony from biosupplies

hi those are most probably cory eggs as clown loaches are egg scatterers and are very hard to breed i only know of one person who bred them and that was in america i think

HI if anyone wants daphnia i will be netting them today so will be ready on monday and they come from a pond in the zoo that gets rinsed out and cleaned out every two months so i will have to catch as many as poss now cause there about to clean it and it is still $5 for about 100,000 and they come from clean water please PM me your orders Kyle

I have gazillions of daphnia in a pond so if anyone wants some pm me.Today in 2 scoops with the net i must have got at least 1,000,000 and there are some pretty big ones

no alan_au i think LB just got ripped off they are usually only $1 each ye i heared of a lady paying AUS$40 just for a normal pleco and AUS$60 for a chocolate one now thats ridiculous

these are not true mudskippers the ones available in nz they are called slim mudskippers and are cheap.They are very boring things and are quite hard to keep in captivaty as i have heard.There are no true mudskippers in new zealand and the ones you are wanting to get never or hrdly go on land and are sooooooooo boring

when i went to hollywods last they were about $170 for albinos and $120 for normal polypterus ornatipinnis(spelling) and were very lively during the day Cheers

Maf is the crapest thing to happen to nz they suck they have no idea what they are talking about.For fish my dad was getting some pirana for the zoo and then they told him hes not aloud pirana as they might escape into the wild and ifest our waterways.For god sake pirana are tropical fish from the amzon basin and would never survive more than 2 nights even up here in auckland.The only way pirana could become in the wild would be at southern taupo.Maf also suck cause my dad had to get a IHS(inport health standard) for some birds to import and took three years to get this and then the zoo got $300,000 worth of birds going through quarrintine to come to nz from england and then MAF decided that they would not let them in what faggats i say

You don keep nothobranchius eggs in water as they are egg burriers and in africa they breed just before the dry season so the eggs have to saty in litlle or no water at all for 6-8months (i think) and you have to do this for them in captivity aswell othere wise they would not hatch

do you keep them or your just saying that there a LIVEBEARER if you want i can catch some for you
