  1. why thaw it before you feed it to them, they are going in to warm water are they not, plus it gives the fish a bit of fight for their food. You may have a bit of trouble getting the bloodworms at the mo, I know I am, but there is tropical tucker which has bloodworms in it or frozen blood worms. The other alternitive is to start a live food culture e.g white worms, daphnia B
  2. nice tank shae. should be a good grow out tank 8) check out this link for some nice looking gippies, it is an american guppy club :L http://guppysa2z.com/clubs/sjgg/show/show.htm B
  3. Hey killifan, I have a male and 4 females in a tank 600mmx 300mmx 250mm, and whent the females start to get quite fat I remove the male and usually get 30+ fry from it. The tank is not heavily planted but I have Java moss and Crypt Becketii in there, so as to provide some cover. Personally found tho that the fry generally only hide if there is a male in th tank, as when I removed the male the fry all hovered just below the surface. Shae will have some techniques that he uses also so hopefully between the two of us you will find a way that suits you. B
  4. thats great news chris, specially that they have all survived.
  5. It's been discussed in the chat room shae, they are not cold water as the are kept in a divided tank where only one side has a heater, and the heat transfers throught the glass. I know this as I sold her the platties and the guppies are in the same tank. B
  6. More importantly, how many have survived and do you have any update pics?

  9. 11. Shuih, You want to add meth blue to your tank and try to knock off the white spot, also I don't know if turning the temp up to 32 will acheive anything, but I may be proved wrong. B

  15. Shae, The guppies you gave me I have seperated the better lookin females which are the ones in the last two pics and the orange fish in with the guppies are swordtails male and female, they are in a temporary home at the mo. Peter, majority of the males and females are from the same line so would say that there are some from the same batch of fry, but I inherited these off another guy and they were all together when I got them, from now on tho the fry will be seperated out to see what I get. B
