  1. hikari cichlid gold, aro pellets, worms, insects, and colour bits mainly.
  2. do you like rusty spoons? (if you don't know what im talking about youtube salad fingers) I used to play counter strike, and I choose the nick ρĦǿΣŋІΧ® course there was someone else called phoenix, and i had to battle him for the name. i lost miserably in an awp match, and then practised everyday for months (when CS was cool) and then defeated him (rose from the ashes apparently) and claimed the name ρĦǿΣŋІΧ® its all mine now.
  3. I miss my dems too! but they are all together in a really nice experienced african keepers home, so im sure they will thrive! in the mean while ill dwell on how my euptera has grown from here: to: to what he is above
  4. yeah, that's them - just took the pic before, so they have grown a little bit since i got them. over the next few months ill add more and more fish.
  5. Ive had him since he was 2-3 cm. he was tiny! now is so well behaved that he doesn't even bother the tiniest of babies in the tank he loves hikari tabs too such a pleasure to see what a long way he has come.
  6. what about when cats leave dirty paw prints on a freshly washed and waxed car?
  7. if you do get them, you will prob only get juveniles - then you gotta wait about 2.5 years for them to mature, then breed them. breeding is relatively easy but its the 2.5 year wait that makes most fancy plecos expensive. I have no idea what they would cost on the market.
  8. not on fish in NZ. unless you are a registered company and pay for freight insurance, or insurance for loss on income.
  9. what about me? I think ill survive too.
  10. ooo! hahaha no he cannot lay eggs. must be 2 females. glad I thought of it. They are really pretty though.
  11. I have probably lost the aquarium world. here is the pic
  12. yes, i had one of those fake gold nuggets. flatfish wrote an article on it in the aquarium world a few issues ago.
  13. dont use it, they get reallly hot. well you can use it if you want, but it can burst. get another tube, and if its over a year old, get 2.
  14. oh and with fluval - the now redundant tronics are sold off cheaply to get rid of them if they are still available. the new M range (mirror) is now available, but are more expensive than jager, but not as good in my trials.
  15. If you have 2 discus in the tank, and they are happy being with each other don't add more to the tank. It would help to see what the tank currently looks like, so we can provide suggestions that can make use of the stuff you already have. basically all you need is wood, some plants, and some dither fish like rummy noses seeing as you already have the other equipment. The tanks in the AGA contests are not even worth looking at as those tanks need far too much maintenance, usually daily. what sort of light does the tank have? (need the K spectrum).
  16. it is a grey area, but basically cats are allowed to roam as that is what they do, and dogs must be confined. i do not think you would be responsible for the bill however.
  17. hagen = fluval = GLO eheim = jager
  18. Hastifolia  HAStifolia The only anubias I have ever had luck with is hastifolia, barteri and this other thing i forget the name of.
  19. vets tend to stay away from the smaller breeds as the risk of anaesthesia related deaths are higher in smaller animals - but it can be done. large minilops and flemish giants are done all the time.
