They are probably getting more light of a usable spectrum from the direction in which they are growing. What colour are the tubes (The K rating / type) and how old are they?

Leaves are too large to be polysperma. Wait for simon to see this. I suspect it will be a native aponogenton of some sort. -

Looks great! Love the selection of fish, but the one fish that tank is desperately calling for is a royal pleco of any description. I would add more driftwood, not ordered in any specific manner - just scattered around and perhaps anubias hastifloia as the plant. should be pretty easy to order in.
