Call her Destiny..she's such a cutie, good luck with her!

They look great. What other animals are native to New Zealand? Like what about the surrounding water? Great whites are there or no? We have alligators..
-
Wow..so fascinating http://weta.boarsnest.net/ and I thought we had big bugs here! http://www.kcc.org.nz/animals/tuatara.asp "it hasn't changed it's form in over 225 million years" now that is cool..

Great photos! You look like a very cool clown.

Thanks for pointing that thread out Mark, it is awesome! Caryl, what is the large parrot like bird in your photos? Is this the bird that is very smart, and messes with people's things?
-
Haha..my favorite thank you! Hans, what kind of reptile is that? Very cool. David, you are right I guess. We have Disney..if we want to pretend we are someplace else..

Oh my...you are all so very lucky to live in a place where such beauty seems commonplace. The photos look like postcards! If I drive a few blocks out of my neighborhood, there are restaurants, convenience stores, and hookers.... :-? Thank you all..more please.. These two are cool & different, what are they? Is that a GIANT cricket?

I would say it is always wise to have your male dog neutered unless you plan to breed him. There are complications that can arise, especially later in life, for a male dog who is not fixed..and does not breed. It will also take his aggression and anxiety down several notches. That said, some training may help. Stay out with him while he is back there, put him on a long lead, and when he approaches the fence or attempts to jump teach him that you disapprove. Most smart dogs can be a challenge to train. Perhaps he needs walking daily, instead of just putting him out.

What is the reason you don't have access to the same equipment & livestock/plants? Is it illegal to have certain plants? Does it cost alot to get them shipped? The reason that brought me to your forum is I Googled Dutch style aquariums.

Hi & thanks again for saying such nice compliments. I can get a closer view of the bonsai for you David. Give me a few days..we just had a death in our family yesterday. Rochelle may, the grassy plant is dwarf hairgrass~Elocharis acicularis or maybe E. parvula. No worries on copying my style..that is the greatest form of flattery! Hi Leroy. I looked at bettas for about two years on aqua bid before deciding on him..he is great. He has a very nice personality too. He is spoiled, and eats bloodworms one at a time from my tweezers..lol  I'm sorry you cannot get HC there? Why not? The plant on top of the dw is anubias nana petite.
-
Hi Vindy. Which one, in the first nano? That is HC. 8)

Hi Hans! I was working on the specs as you posted.. I can go back and add some fert specs...let me get some more coffee first..
-
Wow..thank you everyone for the very nice compliments! I had to think a minute about the word 'fighter'...lol, we just call them bettas. I like that, fighter..heheh, very good. A-town, the plant in question is called Lymnophyla Aromatica. It is fast becoming my new favorite. It has such an array of colors, it's really getting beautiful with the use of the high light and CO2. This is my first tank with pressurized CO2. In the nanos I just use excel and ferts. Aquatopia, you are right. I need to cut a background for the nanos now that I found something that works nice. I have extra too, so no excuse not to. I went to an office supply, and found something called a foam presentation board, it works great. I was going to paint it, but would rather be able to manipulate the background for photos if I wanted to. Caryl, yes..Anubias nana petite. It's a real algae magnet. Rozski..I am flattered. If I can inspire, I am doing something good. When I first started looking at planted tanks, I too was inspired. It was a small nano..maybe 3 gallons or so, with a sandy front. I have always liked that look. To me it is an expression of art. They are my little 'worlds' within themselves. Snookie, yes sorry..that is U.S. gallons. DavidR, the bonsai is called an Erodium root-over. I like it, it's my first decent luck with bonsai. Another passion I have not mastered at all...yet. 8) I will go back and edit my post to include some more info like tank inhabitants, in case anyone is interested.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! 8) Am I the first? Surely there must be someone before me? I am fascinated by people from other countries, cultures. Are there any photos of your area posted anywhere on the forum? Where I live it is flat & plain. No cool waterfalls or mountain ranges. We are famous for our lightning, and we get a hurricane season every year. Now that we can do here,it is hot most of the time. We do get cold..but we can have it 30's and 40's one day, and 80's and 90's the next. It's great to be here and share ideas & methods. Thanks again..it seems like everyone is so friendly! My name is Carole.

Ok..so tell me please about skiing in June? Is this winter for you, or is it cold much of the year? Our forecast for today in Orlando~High of 90*, low of 72*, 60% chance of rain. Currently 82* and partly cloudy...
