sounds good the metro will not harm your bio filter and is ineffective after 8 hours ,a good way to mix is clean container with lid and small ammount of fairly warm water and shake till your arm drops off, good luck
Yes from the pics it does look more like hith and as advised i would also treat with metro ,metonidizole it is avaiable from vet in 400mg tablets mabe a 7 treatment corse and plenty of clean fresh water.
Try to get a photo up if you can,but the only thing without seeing it i would net fish out and wrap in wet towel and see if you can extract the "worm" then dab the site with iodine on a cotton tip be very carefull not to get iodine in eyes or gills.
Hi again yes i have used levamisole but have found it only in the form of aviverm bird wormer and to get the ideal dose of 2ppm have used 8.5ml of aviverm per 100g i have left treatment in for 24 hours then as large water change as possible then repeated after a week.the fish will probly not be very interested in food during treatment but soon back to normal.
Hi there i have used metronidizole on several tanks and i usuall stick to the first method but have in some cases upped the dosage to extend to 7 treatments of 400mg per 10g
i breed discus and white worms and brine shrimp ,the guppies just breed all by their own selves .The white worms are gone as soon as they come the bbs last even shorter the discus fry have a much better mortality rate lol
