I was going so say L128 but i didnt think they where still in pet stores from the last import... and $300 would be a bit expensive for me unless they where big fat adults.

i think they are legal but just as rare as any other high demand reptile

Leos if all goes well will be at mine next week... L46 will be a few months, i gues its when the become available due to the first batch being pre-sold

Well I have got my mat today for the Leos which i pick up next weekend :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: However I got the mat home and was a little confused... I was under the impression that the mat could be temperature set via a dial, however its not... How does one get the correct temp? will the mat just heat at 28 degrees? that would be good LOL

never ever said i was palsy with a importer, i knew one down in christchurch who had that female L46 on trademe a while ago, who told me that he would import them if i can find someone that would ship to NZ... but we lost contact... I want the fish because they where the reason i started to keep plecos... they are the best specie on the market... I dont care for breeding them (not to say i wouldnt to boost popluation) but i just want them to add to a show tank... They havnt been on the list since they where at hollywood... I was asking because someone said in the catfish section tha they where now being imported by 3 importers. Also the fish come in at the size of 3-5cm... that is what the exporters have them at so they are not sexable, get a group of 5-6 then you do have the odds that there will be a male/female anyway this topic has had it...

Someone posted in the catfish section that 3 importers have imported L46 Zebra Pleco into the country, can anyone spread any info if the rumours are true?

depends on what you classify as expensive... I dont think a $180 pleco is expensive but some do... all up to your budget... between $2-10... Snails, BN, Ottos, Corys (however you will need several) $10-15... Common Plecos, flying fox, algae eater $15-20... Most loaches, Corys Just depends on what you want.

to be honest i think that a healthy one would of gone for the same price... most buyers will be breeders so they see a 7 year old girl a good investment even if it takes a few years to get her back up to standard. For it would be better than rearing a hatchling from birth to around 10 years...

What is the possability of a disease forming in captive reared species? then we couldnt release them, and we would be in a bigger mess then what we started in?
