lol not as tough as me :bounce:
I give my all for the person I work for - but I don't take any flack - whole reason the payrise / promotion happened - I work huge hours and ridiculous hours
as Caryl said - good to see a promotion in these "troubled" times
I'm just stoked - finally all my hard work has paid off ... and more to the point it has given me incentive to keep up the hard work ...
nothing comes easily
I just got promoted to CIO (Chief Information Officer) and got a 15% salary increase :bounce:
CIO is about as high as you can go in IT
I'm stoked - I work my (thinks of words that will not get me a warning) buttocks off for this company ... payrise and promotion longtime over due to be fair
I don't put rocks on mine but I strategically place it between rocks and the corner of the tank so water flow pushes it into the corner
having said that it was fine until I added two 6inch+ electric blues that mow though everything if they choose (even half kilo rocks!!)
though now it seems ok (for me) floating at the top of the right hand side of my tank (filter pushes from left to right
would it be safe to put these in my african tank - or should I soak them in thinners, scrub off all the paint then boil, leave out to dry for a LONG time?
these are rocks that have been outside in the weather for at least 6 years that I am aware of
[edit] this should really be in beginners or DIY I guess
I've got a similar setup going, I went for "uniform" rock formations but found they need lots of multi-size caves etc to hide in to really be happy ... so lots of weird angles is the key
http://images.paranoid.co.nz/rimutank/fish181.jpg is an oldish pic, gonna change the layout again tomorrow as I have 2 huge electric blues that WANT caves (and I have rocks to spare)
to me fake plants look fake... so goes against what you are trying to recreate (if like me a "natural" habitat" ... looking after fish is time consuming so meh what is removing a few dead leaves here and there or replacing a few plants
so my answer is live and whatever you can get cheaply that has the look you want
I recently got 2 golden spot plecos and man they have done an epic job on the algae - don't seem them much throughout the day but I knew that was the case anyway
maybe the water aint so good? or maybe he has enough algae where he/she is or in other hidden places
can loan ya mine soon as they will have done the job required :bounce:
lesson to be learn't ... cover all your "tanks"
my first experience of this was a good 14 years ago ...put my goldfish in a glass while cleaning the tank ,.. looked back, glass empty, looked down, cat licking its lips
