MTS is the answer to your problem ... I have some bubba lionheads you could have - guessing they female by their size compared to theo nes I moved to the amin tank (or I could give you a mix of both) red jewels are very pretty, I just saw a few young adults at the local LFS and was soooo tempted to buy them if I din;t have a dozen of them as bubbas dems are nice -- as a red empress and yellow labs me personally I'm after a nice deep green malawi cichlid (if they exist)
-
welcome and send some of your weeds my way
-

I had/have a massive algae problem in my african tank - I added 2 golden spot plecos the other day and they a mowing through it! they've removed a good 60 % of it already, plants look great, rocks slowly coming back to normal I know having 2 they will out grow my tank but I will just offer them to someone down the track

my only current option for tanks is one 80ish litre tank (currently holding the 30 odd rest of my baby red jewels, blue dolphins. kribs and lumpheads and another 80-100 litre tank which currently has george and mildred (my 2 crash test dummy "goldies" (cannot remember their names right now as I am drugged out on meds that make me all happy slow and sleepy  so stripping basically involves getting her out, putting a toothpick or something in her mouth to open it and then dunking her in the water so she releases them? I really appreciate your help (I really needto find someonein welly with a nice SLR to get some good pics of my tank as it is really coming along nicely

yeah she doesn't open her mouth, gills seem to open a fair bit - I think the "resting" is just her happy place ... I guess time will tell - I just find it odd as she is very young ... oh I forgot to mention I recently "rearranged the tank" and noticed that one of them had dug out a massive "trench" so I guess that is where "the business" was done so if she is holding and at my guess has been for close to 2 weeks now, should I be concerned about moving her to her own tank in a week or so ? or should I just leave her in their - her tank mates include one other female yellow and a male, 3 empresses, 4 baby lumpheads (2-3cm) and 2 baby red jewels (2cm) I have a nice bunch of java moss I could put in their - Tyson (the alpha male of the tank) will definitely gobble anything he can fit in his mouth (as I found out with 2 poor baby kribs that never saw it coming)

gwen one of my 3 electric yellows (brad and jen being the other 2) all of 5 centimetres (if she's lucky) ... she hasn't eaten in close to 2 weeks, she segregates herself from the rest of the tank most of the time and seems to prefer to "rest" at about a 70 degree angle (head up) ... she doesn't look sick and as she is sooooo small I cannot tell if her mouth is puffy enough for her to be holding (which is my first thoughts)... having said that I do think her mouth is larger than usual I think she is maybe 6-7 months old - I'm trying to get some pics but she is really well hidden as far as getting a good camera angle is concerned does this sound like usual "holding" behaviour?

lol no surpise there hun    so is there any actual evidence? from what I have read she had no physical signs of abuse (sorry if I missed something) - so it all comes down to her word against his ... I definitely agree with the notion to not accept guilt surely the "girl" that cried wolf will not win in modern society? are we still that primitive? I personally do not condone physical violence at any level - there is always other ways to resolve matters

has anyone done computing unit standar 110
mj replied to dragonz1833's topic in The Off Topic Fishroom
sounds horrible :-? (no offense intended) a unit standard focused on how to use word? o creation and application of styles, o table of contents and index, o drop-down list and inserted field codes (in electronic form), o use of templates, o complex merge with ‘if…then’ statements and query/filter operation, o complex tables, o calculations and use of formulae, o integration of text and graphics, o macros, o use of foreign characters, mathematical symbols, and/or foreign currency symbols, o assembling documents using hyperlinks; -

the only issue I had with a filter close to me in my bedroom (tank is actually about a foot away from the bedhead) was the vibrations on the tank base ... fixed by a hand towel under it

wow what a thread (got to a point where I just skipped most - so sorry if someone has already said what I am about to say) anyway from my experiences (over feeding was my first bad move) if you have an ammonia problem it is going to be from excess "crap" (literally) in the pebbles .. so if it was me I would completely flush the pebbles - so yes remove everything from the tank - put all the fish / plants / water in buckets and flush those pebbles ... this is what killed my koura/borneos ... first my inexperience, second and mainly the over feeding wasn't fixed by a complete water change as the cause was in what lay beneathre I'm currently over feeding my africans (2,3,4 times a day)... but they (6) are juveniles in a 240 litre tank which I do 30% changes on a weekly basis ... on the other side of the scale I have a 80 (ish) litre tank with 2 comets in it that I feed every 2-3 days (give or take a couple days) and I haven't changed the water (although have meant to) in about 5 weeks it all comes down to stocking, type of fish (their eating habits) and how much you feed them don't be fooled by their puppy dog "feed me eyes" ... fish (even goldies) are smart ...on that note my africans are giving me the eye so I should go tent to their wishes lol

lolol ... been a long week, late nights/power cuts in wellington wiping out half of my server network ... and I never take a step backwards in being forward ... I say it how I see it 8) (my folks always say my mouth will get me in trouble) by the way ira - are you the same ira from dc++ back in the day? back onto movies - I recently watched blindness which had pretty good reviews yet I didn't quite get it also Journey to the Center of the Earth which I thought was "just another Brendan Fraser" movie, I personally thought it tried to do to much or copy to many other movies ... I kept thinking "oh god what are they going to throw in next!" - the original was great <3 James Mason I have over 1700 movies in my collection (just never seem to get the time these days to watch them)

usually a case where I call respect your "elders", 5 years longer on here than you so I personally would have used a little tact... anyway back on topic.. yeah quantum was a let down, just another american movie as was transporter 3 and bankjob ... was just another jason stratam movie to me? Wall-e was a weird one for me.. most love it, I found that eventually it was annoying??? (maybe I watched it too late at night) lots of that type of movie coming out, finding nemo IMO by far the best (and most just try to reinvent it) of the animations havent seen any of the others mentioned though in my to-do list
