Hes about 7 months old. i actually got him from you last year. Hes a 3/4 crowntail. His body is twisted when hes lying on ground but he straightens it when swimming. its like he lies on his side

My Male Siamese fighter is having real trouble swimming and is lying on the bottom of the tank. I put him in a small breeder to raise him up towards to surface as he was really struggling to swim to the surface. He has been like this for about two weeks now. When it started I put in some tonic salt and he seemed to get better but then just went backwards again. he also has a growth like a pimple on his head could this have anything to do with it??? Someone please help as he is my best looking fighter and I hate seeing him so sick.

Good on you. I had a couple of males together for a while and everything was really happy they just used to stay out of each others way untill one day they decided to go each other. I hope they live happliy ever after for you.

Yes its a very sad day. Woke up this morning and went and turn all my fishtank lights on. Wait a minute wheres my new pink betta?? :-? There was no way he could have jumped out as tank has a lid. Did the bristlenose get him? No they dont even care hes there. Where could he be?? Much to my disgust he had somehow got into the filter and had died. He must have swum against the current into the filter as there is no other way big enough for him to get in. Very dissapointed as I only had him a couple of days

Thanks for the help. I think I'll leave them a few days as he keeps adding to the bubble nest it now takes up a whole corner of the tank. He seems to be still trying it on with her every now and again so we'll see what happens.

SO I felt bad yeaterday as when I was watching the tank he kept coming up to the glass looking at me and then swiming back and sitting under his nest. He kept doing as if to say "well are are going to get me a girl?" So I got him a girl yesterday and he built amother bubnle nest overnight so now I have two nests in the one tank along with another two partially started nests. I put the female in as she looked like she was keen. She kept swimming over to him. I left them alone for a couple of hours while I went to work. When i left he was just chasing her. I have just come home and he is guarding the nest and she seems to be very out of breath and he is no longer interested in her. Does this mean they have spawned? Will I be able to see eggs in the nest as at the moment it just looks like bubbles. Please help!!!

He's actually like a metallic blue colour. Looks awesome when he flares. Im pretty sure the pink ones colours should stay as hes a pretty big one so I can't see why they would go. Cheers

This is my latest fighter I got from barrie yesterday. First night and hes ready to breed. Been blowing a bubble nest all night. Pity I havn't got a female for him. This fighter is also another one I got yeaterday. I hope you like

Sorry I think its a 120L. I forgot how many Litres.it is. I have just purchased another female as I lost the female I had and was just left with two males. Since I have added the female they seem to have been better. maybe they were just grieving???

I would be keen to enter next year and dont mind helping out if Auckland hosts it

Yea I didnt think they were old. Big one is about 20cm other one about 10cm. Im thinking maybe they are just geting too big for the tank even though they do swim around and seem to have enough space. They were bout from a pet shop about 4-5cm long
