  1. Hmmm wanna wait and see if I get any babies first? I know theres more than 1 spawning, so hopefully its only a matter of time I'll have a look tonight and see if there are some smaller "non spawning" ones that I can part with Dont wanna go breaking up a relationship between spawners haha
  2. How many snails u want? I've only got 17 (that I can see)
  3. Trying to save for airfares at the mo, so I'll just do my fragswap with wilson unless ur ok with deferred payment? (In which case I'll have some from you and wilson I liked the idea of using that Reef Solution, it contained all the supplements I was dosing anyway, but in a single dose application (so 1 bottle instead of 4)
  4. How bout this weekend? U want ur bubble then aswel?
  5. Is it also worth giving the skimmer a bloody good clean? (Prob hasn't had a good clean for a couple of months) How long should I stop dosing for? And I'd love a xenia, Wilson's one will be fragged shortly I hope? Sponges make good mops too? That one which has those zoos growing from it that you used to have Conch, is growing like mad Possible about the rocks too, the tank has only been running since September, and 1/3 of the rock was "dead rock" to start with
  6. Haven't been since this started, the fish have had to live off 2 small feedings of pellets a day, and I'm making sure it all gets eaten! Another guess i've got is that its organic PO4 which I cant test for? Maybe thats through the roof?
  7. I'm guessing my tank is at the stage where Cyano is going to be an issue for a while. Once the lights come on during the day, the tank gets covered, overnight, it disappears and I wake to a beautifully clean tank with nearly no trace of it! But then the cycle just starts again. As cyano is caused by a number of different things, i'm kinda stumped as to what it could be. Its probably very obvious, but my brain doesn't seem to be working too well at the mo (lay off the grass for a while? LOL) Tank params are SG - 1.025 Temp - 25.6 - 26.8 (Trying to keep as close to 26 as poss) Alk - 9.9dKh Cal - 450ppm Mg - 1380 PO4 - 0.1ppm NO3 - 10 NO2 & NH4 - Non Detectable I'm working on getting the PO4 down to undetectable, and its dropped from 0.5 to 0.1 since Saturday. Recent History for reference: Using RODI water with Coral Pro Salt (no longer using tap water) Started dosing Reef Solution http://www.petsolutions.com/images/400/12900052.jpg Increased Flow to 38x turnover (originally was 22x) I also dose Prodibio BioOptim and BioDigest. Skimmer is a Deltec MCE600 I've got the feeling its got something to do with lighting as its gone in the morning but back by the time i'm home from work in the avo, am I on the right track? After 1 more Bulb arrives I'm doing a Lighting Upgrade from 225w total to 315w I have the "red slime remover" antibiotic on the way, which i've heard a number of people rave about, but I'm reluctant to use it without trying all the other methods first Anyone wanna point me in the right direction, suggest something I'm missing? Cheers
  8. Lol Thats what happened with me. Tried to keep my 2 freshy tanks once I started my Marine... they lasted 3 weeks before I had offloaded them onto someone else. I find marine much more exciting Make sure you buy BIG!
  9. Wish I had kept my 20D and lenses so I could get nice sharp pics, unfortuantly, it was either photography, or setup a reef tank
  10. Heres one of my BiColour Blenny playing in my UV sterilizer when he was around. Man I miss him, he was such a character, then he just disappeared without a trace Will definatly get another one when I find one, and can only hope he'll be just as much of a character And sum more pics of him Peekaboo!
  11. They dont need to have one, and they'll host nearly anything. And nah they dont stray far from their coral, and if they do, 1 of them is always at home "defending"
  12. I wouldn't have thought they'd get along?
  13. Thought I'd start a post for general Clownfish discussion. My 2 are real characters and i'm sure most other peoples have their own personality. Share it and include pics Heres my 2, playing around "THEIR" torch coral. They are VERY protective of it, and have just recently resorted to biting me when i'm trying to clean near their area. They also hang round the top of the tank if i'm hanging over it doing something, and will flick water at me. Twice now, 1 of them has even jumped out of the water to nail me square between the eyes. Yesterday when I was feeding, I noticed one of them grab a huge mouthful of flake and speed back to the torch and spit it at it. I've also seen them sucking on the tenticles. These 2 REALLY need an Anemone, but I have a feeling, even if I get one, they'll be quite happy to keep their Torch Coral. My Blue tang in the background quite often tries to be a clown aswel, but doesn't last long when it gets too close to the torch.
  14. I dont have the setup for drip acclimitisation, and if my clowns are little buggers about it, they'll come out of the tank while I sort the wrasse out (easy to catch because they're so bloody worried i'm gunna touch their torch coral, so they hang round and defend it)
  15. I'm assuming that ur meaning tank water, not tap water?? Thats my normal acclimitisation procedure anyway, but even with lights off I find that most fish get more and more stressed the longer they're in the bag for. I'll keep doing what I normally do then, but maybe take a wee while longer Sapphire, I didn't see the mandarin, I think he might've been sold? There were 3 small shrimp, 2 little clowns (Tash wanted to swap ours for those ones! haha) Flame Angel and the Wrasse
  16. Will he need 2 hours acclim? I think the longest i've ever acclimitised a fish has been 30 mins, and haven't lost any doing it that way (and it wasn't drip acclim either)
  17. LOL Snottyback He'll be alright til tomorrow at the shop. I've heard they're not good travellers so hopefully he makes it.
  18. I wanna get him now, but he'd have to sit at work for 4 hours, not good for the wee fulla
  19. I pick it up tomorrow He's gunna be a fat wee piggy after he's settled in and realised theres thousands of pods at his disposal, with no other competition for them!
  20. Has squiggy shown you her new outfit yet?
  21. Theres tons of them Telecom did really well with selling that D-Link 604T wireless router with their internet connections. Plug and play out of the box with no security
  22. Can't, needs to be on all the time to receive emails for business purposes. Plus thats no fun, i'd rather catch him haha
  23. Lol true, but the "standard" sized monitor with PC's these days is 19" That and there aren't many monitors that have card readers inbuilt
