  1. I'm neutral. After personal experiences with them, I'll never take them again, however I'm an advocate for "natural selection, survival of the fittest". If someone is stupid enough to take too many/mix with alcohol etc, then they deserve all they get. The world is full of stupid & useless people who have no clue, why should we bother wasting our time trying to save them from something like Party Pills, when they'll inevidably end up killing themselves another way?
  2. It would take a lot of glue to attach that coral. Going to try and frag it over xmas as I dont need such a huge amount of it in my tank, just a couple of nice small pieces will suit me
  3. What are the benefits of dosing Iodine? I'm finding mixed information around the net saying its good for fish's slime coats, and other info saying it'll cause problems for inverts. Its not something that seems to be widely spoken about, and seems near impossible to find a test kit for it in any stores. Cheers
  4. What type of powerheads do you have? When my blenny existed (he disappeared) he used to sit inside the outlet of my UV sterilizer, and perch up on my powerheads. Could be highly likely he's put his tail in a place where it should'nt have been. I'm not sure of the temprement of hermits (i'd love to have one myself, i'd pay good $$ for one) but if the blenny has decided to back into a hole where the hermit was, perhaps its had a nibble? I still think its more likely the first one, or a dirty hiding crabby bastard. Just make sure he's well fed, try and keep some nori (sushi seaweed) in the tank whenever possible for him to nibble on. Mine loved the stuff
  5. "and UNLESS its got massive teeth" The warehouse ones are fine enough to do an excellent job
  6. And bubbles will go away once the unit gets a bit of a slime coat going is what I found. Just beware of the skimmate smell and dont spill it on urself after a big night or you'll end up doing what I did
  7. Goto the warehouse and get em. A hacksaw blade is a hacksaw blade, and unless its got massive teeth, it'll cut thru plastic piece of piss. I had to do exactly the same mods with my MCE600
  8. I'd rather it not colour, than colour up poo brown Oh yeah, my bubble coral decided to fall off its rock too and as it fell touched some of the Zoos... Result was some melted Zoos, very interesting, though they have almost recovered now
  9. Oh they actually come as pure white? it looks cool and it opens and closes as though its healthy
  10. Nope But I found a pure white zoa in with a clump of the brown ones that I relocated from the original cluster, I'm assuming its dying? (The rest look fine)
  11. I've already looked I'll look again tonight
  12. I thought maybe that would happen, but I glued the buggers to a rock, and if I look closely, theres still a bit left on the rock. I guess its possible it happened but since mysterious happenings have been going on since the introduction of Mr Brittlestar, he's under suspicion!
  13. Looking awesome, was stoked to have them cuz they were such a cool colour And I've fed the brittlestar once, and i'm assuming its eaten the blenny body
  14. How do I know it was him tho? I'll be keeping a close watch tho!
  15.   All my new Violet Zoas are gone!!!
  16. Oops 21st then.. It depends on what you look at (and in some ways believe) but that date is the end of the Mayan Calender. The Mayans being an ancient race of people who had an extremely vast knowledge of astronomy. They lived approx 1000BC (Dont quote me on this its what I"m trying to remember) and clearly knew the world wasn't flat, and knew all about orbits, and even how many planets are in our solar system. Pre Colombian Americans didn't take well to them, and murdered most of the race and destroyed the majority of all their documents/artifacts.
  17. lol sounds like we've ended up with a batch of killer brittlestars!!! If I lose another tank inbabitant, I am going to make the assumption that it was the brittlestar, and move that little bastard to a new home Or maybe cutting off his little arms might be a better punishment? That'll learn it!
  18. Well, hard to know if we'll be dead, but the world will be a very different place after 23rd December 2012 That and what these idiots who make up these stories aren't tell you, is that carbon emmissions produced by humans makes up 0.2% of all of the carbon emmissions... yes shit is happening, but we aren't to blame. I find it amusing that people assume that the earth has reached a certain point, and any "change" is our fault. Sure we're using up the natural resources etc, but whether we are here or not, the earth was going to change anyway
  19. Nah it was a better name than "Kamekaze" so I used the name of the planes the japs used
  20. After the incident where my clown jumped out of the tank and headbutted me, its earnt the name "Zero" Who can decipher that one?
  21. I've always wanted to call a dog "sh*thead" Just for the sole purpose of being at the park and screaming "COME HERE SH*THEAD!!!!" I got the idea from a Steve Martin movie
  22. Shall I call my Yellow Tang Bubbles then?
  23. My 2 did the same, and I knew they would shed shortly after being transported..... but there was still that little bit of worry which made me go hunting for them with the torch.
