  5. depends on the fitting you buy, always go a bit bigger just in case, 40mm should be plenty.

  11. Buggered if anyone would be dumb enough to fill their sump with dead rock
  12. There is NO point buying live rock to add to a system full of "dead" rock you will need to cycle coral rock first or it will all turn to soup, somebody that can type jump in here
  13. I tried all the tricks to get mine to split. all it did was grow
  14. I have an interest in skimmers using this technology therefore in my best interest not to share the "how to" Maybe someone else could take a pic of their needle wheel??
  15. Sorry maybe you or i misread something, the pumps are bought in Germany already modded for needle wheel skimmers, same as the Eheims now used on some deltecs.
  16. No sorry I'm not likely to show people how to do it the results speak for themself Can enquire on a bigger model?
  17. 2000/1 the area around the needle wheel has been milled bigger + the needle wheel itself.
  18. Its equivelent to the smallest H&S skimmer only with the bigger pump, my guess is a AP600??? The Aquabee pump has the same mods :-) For me it was keep using a skimmer that was oversized for my tank & retails for around $1900 (HFS) or use this one that is a hell of a lot less
