I'm getting the tank on sunday morning :bounce: I've got 2 temp tanks set up. What is the best PH. its currently between 8 - 9 problem is i went to a pet shop this evening to get the rest of the test kits but they only had the Phosphate one $38 so i thought id leave it and get them all tomorrow morning from somewhere else

i have had a lot of snails appear in my planted killie tank how do i get rid of them i have around 12 clown loaches but the killie tank temp is only 22*c so should i put all the killies in another tank and turn the temp up and add a few clowns for a week or 2 then put the clowns back with the group turn the temp down and put the killies back in Or is there another way? thanks

i could do one on setting up my marine tank but then again i dont know much about marine so that might make it hard i might be able to do a step by step with photos but i won't be able to add all the really technical details. thats if i remember to take photo's while setting it up

no i wouldn't do it they are best in a community tank with peaceful fish

Ok well i have 2 protein skimmers here So if i setup a 2ft tank for the fish and put a small amount of live rock in there with a skimmer and a 18w light and a 2 or 3FT tank with the rest and my other skimmer with the MH. this will be for a few days Will it be ok

so for them temp somewhere between 25 and 29 what water test kits should i buy? I was speaking to the guy and the stand is steal with a bit of chipboard for the front. sounds a bit crap really so i think i will build a new one. So if i setup another tank big enough to put everything in so i have time to set it up Right the first time. the holding tank i can put a skimmer in as ive got a spare one and a few powerheads. Can i get saltwater from somewhere in Christchurch if so where is the best place? Thanks

yea i have a problem where i buy things and then think now how am i gonna get it home :lol: :lol: i have lots of questions but cannot remember most of them lol should i try and bring all the water home so i can set it up straight away or before i get it should i get "new" saltwater and have it in another tank until this one is ready. How long out of the water can the rock be before it dies. AND what is the best way to get it home the guy said it is 1.1m wide (across the front) and 1.7m tall

so it need some TLC but im sure i can get it looking like a nice tank with the helpful advice from all of you guys. all i have got to do now is get it home next weekend sometime :-? :lol: So tell me what you think

Just wondering what would be better Either a bare bottom tank or a tank setup like a community tank Eg. stones and a few plants. currently have them in a BB tank and not having much luck
