What are you feeding them? I just cam home to a cloudy tank because of me feeding axolotl tucker,The smalles uneaten piece of this stuff will cloud up your water.

I picked up the tank today,got it home and saw it has a big chip right on one of the corners and im not too sure if i should use it.this is the auction for it http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=119793458. im going to see if the guy that is making my 21cm cube will have a look at it when i pick up my cube tank.if its no good il try to return it to seller as they said there was no cracks chips or leaks.

i will still use it for the breeding tanks as it will just be in until eggs are scattered so it should be alright(i think) and i was also going to use it to make a moss wall, but i think il just go with a plastic mesh for that.

I will try it cos it cost me $17 or sumthing cos i could only buy it by the meter, tjhe guy at smithcity said it would be alright but i should have asked here 1st.

Is Galvanized Steel Mesh alright to use in Aquariums? I want to use it for the bottom of breeding tanks for the eggs to fall through.

I will have 2 filters in there for a while too i think, my current one (internal aquaone 600lph) and the new canister.

Yes i think so, i am doing daily water changes and the gills seem to be getting better.i am planning on moving all my fish from my 60L tank that are south american into it and some other fish.Maybe a BGK and/or keyhole cichlids.

a cf1200 Wouldnt be too strong would it? I think i might just pay an extra $15 get one of these.

Im not sure if its your one though, i cant tell. I ended up buying another one exactly the sam on trademe. One for cube and one for shrimp tank.

I have got the filter now, and have it running in my main tank. Am picking up the tank on sunday, and the heater is on its way i hope. I will be adding a diy canister filter made with a 1L container and a 220Lph pump after a week or 2 aswell. Where would be the best place to get some light coloured sandy substrate? And what would be the best filter media for my diy canister filter?

I have just bought a 3'Long x 2' High x 1 1/2'Deep tank off trademe. I am planning on having just south american fish in there. What would be a suitable filter for it? And What size heater will i need?
