what thickness glass would need to be used for a tank: #1 2400 L 600 H 900 W and how high can i go with that thickness Tanks will have euro bracing.

is the wood a dark brown or a faded browny/white colour?

You can get UV filters that kill parasites and pathogens, they also keep the water crystal clear if you have bacterial or algae problems

is the driftwood off the beach? or is it bought "bogwood" from a petshop

you could use peat in your filters or use the product "ph down", not sure if its good to use it long term tho

have you used anything to treat the bugs? if so what did you use

the rocks or stones in your tank would raise the ph i.e limestone are your filters brand new or second hand?

they like blood worms, and in regards to whitespot, use half of the advised dosage for any treatments. cold water changes can also set off whitespot. i used to have 6 and i found out that thier is always a dominent one in a group and one thats a loner (usually the smallest one)

my tank gets up to about 30-32 Degrees C, fish should be fine at 29Dc. You can also buy water coolers.

does anyone know anyone who makes good quality tank stands? need one for a 2400L 80W 60H tank im getting built, cant get the tank untill i get the stand tho.

iv got 2 of the 1200LPH not sure which model, they do a good job if you dont have to many fish, but when you have a a few big fish the filter media starts getting clogged up and doesnt filter very well so you have to clean the filters more often. oh and when your filter is first used it is really powerfull so dont put it where it will aim directly at fish.

that would be a red jewel, red jewels that are in good health should be nice and red not orange mixed with brown.

get a new filter and swap it with the one in the established tank, then take half the water from the tank and put it in the new tank along with the old filter. then fill up the new tank with new water and leave it alone for a few months to fully cycle. Gravel from the old tank will help speed up the cycle. also if you want you can get a few zebra danios to keep the cycle going.

you would have a hard time selling the smaller tank for what you payed for it, so i suggest waiting and saving your money for now

thats quite a bit for a small tank, you can buy a 2nd hand 4ft tank (150-300L) for $50-100 excl gravel etc, filters and heaters are only $20 ea on TM and gravel shoudlnt be too hard to get.

they can die easilly. i have some that have paired up and attempt to breed, the eggs always get eaten by something tho.

males get a lump on their head and are also bigger.
