  1. Ummm so I can stalk people and read all their posts of course
  2. I have heard from many people that Doubtful Sound is way better (have only driven to Manapouri, not done a cruise) I settled for Milford cos I couldn't find anyone that did day trips diving on Doubtful!
  3. I did a trip with these guys on Saturday & it was amazing! Follow this link for the full photos --> http://www.flickr.com/photos/61223150@N00/sets/72157622688464803/detail/ Anyone in Chch or Canterbury who scuba dives?? I'm looking for buddies so I can get out more!
  4. Not to be a whinger or anything, but any more news about how this is going? I still can't view profiles.
  5. Uh oh, what can I do if I don't have mine? Wait a bit longer & see if it turns up?
  6. I would say a boo-boo..... I am currently rehoming my shark as I have the opposite problem. Both species are just too territorial & don't seem to mix. You could *try* making sure there are plenty of hiding places for all of them, it may alleviate the problem if everyone has their own personal cave to claim.
  7. Organisms = 399 Ilam Rd Redwood Aquatics = 21 Hussey Rd (Willowbank wildlife park/zoo is over the road, it's not bad... $25 per adult I *think*) 33 Cathedral Square is Southen Encounter Aquarium ($16 per adult) The other pet stores are all just run of the mill in my opinion, not worth a special trip.
  8. Organisms in Chch! (I also like going to Redwood Aquatics to look, but not buy)
  9. I saw it last night at our Totally Tanked meeting. Very interesting. He has a slideshow of photos from his trip to Myanmar and talks lots about the culture and travel experience as well. Heaps of photos of fish we can't get here. He is friends with one of the exporters, so went with him to some of the places they catch fish to send overseas & learnt how the traps work etc. I was fascinated by the fish that are new species & currently undescribed. It's overwhelming how many there must be out there!
  10. Aviary attackers sent to jail! http://www.stuff.co.nz/timaru-herald/news/3008635/Aviary-attackers-sent-to-jail
  11. I bought a $30 desk off trademe and sanded it down and painted it. It's great. One side has drawers to keep food, nets etc in. The other side is a cupboard. I broke out that back of that so I could put a canister filter inside.

    Loaches?

Yeah, punch snail sized holes in side of a coke bottle and put some courgette inside. step 2 ??? step 3 - profit!

    Loaches?

Try making a snail trap instead. Either use the search function, or someone will tell you how in here ;-) I know it's a bit more effort to keep emptying the trap, but the loach will just leave the empty shells littered about. There's people out there that will pay for your unwanted snails, to feed their pufferfish. (depending on snail size I suppose) Good luck anyway.
  14. I was thinking this too. If the security screen is for keeping insects out, then maybe attach a flap of fabric or thick plastic over the hole, so the cat can easily push through it.
  15. Although you can tell you've cut out the fish & stuck them on black, can see the noise around them
  16. Love that top pic of the rasboras, look like they are talking to each other. Awwwww.
  17. And who will die in Shortland St this week? I'm crossing my fingers its Shanti.
  18. Yes Hamburgs! That sounds familiar.
  19. Ummmmm, over the last 2 days we have had a crazy variety of eggs from the girls.... What's with the mini one?!??! Here's the flatmates baby enjoying watching them. They're still very manky, although their feathers look shinier now. And some pretty spotty chickens at Willowbank (Can't remember what breed they are. Apparently they're decent layers for a decorative breed!)
  20. She'll have to deal with what she's given if this is part of her career Might as well get used to nasty hands. (ps my hands are nice shaped, just dry & chipped nails from retail work )
  21. And why do you want to see these pics Wok? Hand fetish?
  22. The 21st is the Sat right? I'd be happy to help with that day. (or possibly the Sunday, depends on my job situation...) If you get really really stuck, let me know & I'll post on my facebook too see if any of my friends would volunteer. I'm a 24yo female from Chch, & so are lots of my friends, so the perfect demographic for you.
  23. I'd love to have my nails done, never done it before. Mine aren't in great condition tho, does this matter? atm I have Thu/Fri/Sats off work. Let me know if I can help
