have you painted the back of your tank? or is it just the wall behind, went to the store today and ordered 2 of the longer bulb's, i think they are 25w 8000k superlights, i got the smaller bulb the other day, 20w 10000k superlight, i also have started to use 5ml flourish after each water change and 1/2 sera co2 tablet each day, will get fert balls and buy sum plants and see how i go once the new bulbs arrive.

Anyone with the above tank and that grows plants in their tank please leave light details and any extra additions you use to grow plant's. Thanks shane

^^^ i see ya got an 850 aswell. have ya checked the cabinet for cracks lol, mine was swaying so i held onto it but then just shut the power down and got away from it as the water was going everywhere lol.

Im in dunedin and had to hold the tank as it sloshed around, not nice and man it went on for ages.

my ph is 7.2 will test again tomorrow after 24hr's of the tablet.

just dropped my 1st tablet in so will see what happen's, i see what ya mean by the white crap off the tablet.

What are your thoughts on these? i see a few on trade me for sale and was wanting opinions before purchasing one.

I have an aqua one ar850 so it has the lighthood/trickle filter on the top, i want to get rid of the lighthood and replace with sum new light's to get decent plant growth so that might free up sum space for the inlet/outlet tube's i guess.

Well i got it setup with no drama's, noodles in the bottom of the canister then noodles and filter wool in second tray and filter wool in the top tray, gave it a shake to get all the air out of it, using the duckbill as the spraybar is abit strong, how long before i can get rid of my other filter as it is taking up room the canister could be using. 1-2 weeks???

thanks for the info ppl, i got sum more noodles to replace the bio ball's, will start it tomorrow, does anyone use the duckbill or just stick with the spraybar on the outlet.

ok i brought a cf1000 today but i am abit baffled as to priming it, the instuctions are not very good, do i set everything up then suck on one of the tubes to get the flow to fill the tubes and canister then put the tube back on then plug it in? thanks

i am buying one on sunday and was wanting ideas on how you run the media or do i just set it up the way the instuctions say, either a CF1200 or enhiem 2213.

Hi all i was mainly targeting dunedin ppl that have Marine Tank setups.I have been doing tropical for 3yrs now and feel a change is due. Im looking at trying a marine tank and have been doing alot of reading about them and was interested in the support and products ppl use in the dunedin area, any ideas on which shop to goto. Maybe posting a pic of your setup with bit of a description and where you shop for your accessories would be great. Any other usefull info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Shane

how are they plumbed, have they got spray bar's for the outlet's, what is the flow like on the outlet, can it be adjusted? Thanks. p.s im going to ask a really dumb question, when it say's 22w for example, that doesn't mean it use's 22w a day doe's it?? :oops:
