No nest left, not even concerned with the eggs. Are they a lost cause then, will they hatch on the bottom?

My betta is a bad dad He built a huge bubble nest, i let the female out, they did the deed and i removed the female. However i checked on him this morning and the bubble nest is gone and all the eggs are scattered on the bottom of the tank. What does this mean???? :-?

cool thanks guys! they have lots of driftwood, they get wafers, and zuchinni. I have noticed some growth since i got them. Hopefully it wont be long before they get nice and big

Thats no good I love my rams and GBAs! Hopefully the rest will recover. I know the dramas with the cats, we had almost the same prob but our boy had a bite on his leg. It usually takes a little while for the antibiotics to kick in properly at least a couple of days. best wishes

how fast do GBAs grow? How long til they get their bristles? I have some that are about 3cm. Is there anything i can do to encourage growth?

hey i asked about the chlorine problem and was told that chlorine is not immediately toxic and that adding the dechlorinater after is fine. dunno if this helps I cant use it anyway coz we dont have a mixer or a tap with thread on it, apart from the hose tap adn then i may as well just fill it with the hose. :lol:

i was in animates today and they have some honey gouramis but they are not the same colour as the ones you and I had, they are much whiter with orange fins.

New planted tank - need help with the basics

ive recently done a planted a tank and i used the daltons aquatic mix coz it was cheaper and easier for me to get and i have small dark gravel on top. Works well, hasnt been long enough to know if the plants are growing tho. -

I know thisw has been asked be for but i cant seem to find it. I have just got an aqua one Cf1000 canister filter and it came with a layer of filter wool, a fine sponge, a coarse sponge, noodles and those little ball things. What order do i put them in????

tried that it just rebounds back I dont know it it would fit one there is no hose, its internal i will try this I dont want my plants to grow sidways! :lol:
