  1. i dont see how theyre any different to heatpads/mats. best used with a thermostat imo as they may overheat. may depend on what you want to use it for. i prefer heat bulbs or emitters myself but that just personal preference
  2. typical  True, was going to say it could be worse, the person could of had Gambusia as the title. Seems person probably did know what they are but didnt want to know....Some people really know how to ask for trouble huh.
  3. Suppose the title was Guppies before you commented?
  4. why did you buy them on the sly Josh, highly ilegal to avoid tm fees  the guy selling them is an idiot, he most likely hasnt sold them, but he can now be charged for doing so. winner
  5. having a separate category for food is a good idea
  6. Have seen people claim golden bells and southern bell will x breed. Seen a few questionable frogs too but im no expert, wouldnt surprise me though as theyre similar. I doubt whistlers would cross with bell frogs but who knows...
  7. Admittedly there's not alot of livestock, but there is alot of other stuff which means you have to specifically search livestock. Especially amphibians which get listed in atleast 3 different areas. Thing that bugs me with the reptiles and turltes heading is its like saying, rodents and rats. Hmm they do have mice and rodents  , and thats got half the listings that reptiles & turts have, yet thats split up into three catogories.
  8. I just have again along with 3 others i found. Spam it up fokes, they may take it on board then http://www.trademe.co.nz/Community/Mess ... x?topic=18
  9. spoke too soon, found a couple of whistlers amplexing for the first time this morning as long its not two males, fingers crossed they deposit some lil gems. viewtopic.php?f=40&t=42783&p=529705#p529705
  10. look what i just found while doing the feeding rounds, couple of whistlers amplexing, doesn't necessarily mean they're going to breed, but its promising.
  11. thanks fokes. It gives you all a small glimpse of what I see everyday. Given im cautious about random visitors, photos are a good way to share. The frogs sit there looking good, and my cheap digital camera does the rest
  12. sweet like custard check it out, its got a thumb like phoenix
  13. as suspected, the normals hatch out as cheeky darkys  theyre actually darker than that, almost black. flash from camera makes em look brown.
  14. do we get albino goldfish? never seen one myself..
  15. Havent had any luck with them yet, nor setup for it really. Not sure ive even got females tbh. Spawn i was looking at was from the wild
  16. can i ask how else one would brace a tank. nice tank btw
  17. out of it. long shot but maybe from someones backyard pond. or a pet. ive always been surprised how close to the beach they are sometimes found in forestry block ponds.
  18. Haha just saying im sure its possible to source them else where. May not be easy but i like to beleave anything is possible. I admit i dont know much at all about the arowana market so maybe wrong.
  19. With that statement, I think you now owe someone a free aro
  20. Could understand all white eggs if all were albino. Just a little puzzled as to why eggs would all be white, when they dont all take on the albino appearance.
  21. Not really, theyre so small. Anything albino or x seems to hatch out white, then takes colour over the next week say. So end up normal dark or stay white. Will be interesting to see if these standard bell frogs hatch out dark...
