I think someone suggested the cage might be "made in china"
Yet a 15ft approx 2 ton shark (and that's a baby compared to some)...... I would not depend on a steel cage of any kind....

I moved mine outside after a quiet period of not breeding and heck the trough is full now, I did notice my lot much preffered to be outside, cooler conditions
-
Just gotta be careful when you have a mixed tank that another species hasn't got in there to share the load so to speak... Africans can be shifty like that, male can whizz in and get in on the act...
-
Just thought I would share this clip I came across, so much for shark cages
-
Congrats Kezza, here's hoping they are of clean breeding and not hybrid for you 8)

Not sure if any given manual could help get a lid off an external filter if there is a tight fit fault...
Anyway.. how did you get on farmchick? Did you give it a bit of Jet Li or Jackie Chan treatment in the end?

Yeap ya can't beat home made burgers, and they are non plastic, like some burgers are out there...
I like Burger Wisconsin too.. for a burger outlet, now I just have to try the Burger Fuel oneday.

My sense of humour is well and truely still with me.... 8) But this is shadowfax's thread and it may be funny to some but not all, and it was a tad negative considering she is trying to get a club up and running for rabbits and cavys... so she clearly loves them

There is no need for that comment or suggestion The Conch :-?

Oh great stuff
:D I used to show pedigree rabbits for rather a number of years (gave up when I got pregnant just over 5 years ago), bred and showed Dutch, Flemish Giant, and Standard Rex... and went into a syndicate to import Mini Rex into the country.... aswell as exported some pedigree stock that I bred overseas. Maybe the Rabbit Council of NZ could give you some tips on making a go of it? Are you affiliated with them as yet? I used to travel to Auckland once or twice a month for showing... However, we ended up running one of our own here in HB as a one off and it was really successful, and we had a heap of backing, best bet is to go for as much sponsorship as you can... We got sponsoring from more than we imagined... even pet product wholesalers...
So glad to hear you guys are really going to make a go of it in having more of a central based Club etc
-
Yeah the sausage sizzles do really well outside The Warehouse.. and the odd supermarkets.... especially at this time of the year when someone want's something warm in their tummy... I hope you guys really make a good go of it and the club takes off
-
How about a running a legit raffle? I am pretty sure you have to get permission to run a raffle... yet it could well be worth it, get some sponsoring behind you and you will be away laughing 8)

Pics look great
They look as happy as Larry in their tank... hope you get a spawn out of them at some stage... keep us posted 8)
-
They are however known to munch anything that they see as a weakest link or small enough in their eyes to dine out on
-
I agree with Caryl, really underated fish, we have a huge trough full of them outside, great little fish, very cute
-
Oh great stuff mitzy, so they have settled in well then
Looking forward to some pics

I love Daltons Propagating Sand, beautiful and natural looking 8) I have recently set up an african tank and have used this black substrate that looks like black sand, put out by Aqua One... the fish looking stunning against it, coral rock and limestone look fantastic against the black also.. I have seen a planted tank with this used as the top layer and it looks fantastic against the green plants.
-
Personally I would put them elsewhere.... they can certainly pack a punch if they feel the need, your Ottos especially wouldn't be safe IMO 8)
-
Yeah you are right Olly, Eels are VERY slow growing.....
-
Thanks for that Luke 8) Will definately collect some rain water and give these fellows a condition.

Are they classed as "potential man eaters" tho.....
I love Great Whites and they should be protected but... I would happily admire them from a boat
