Just put my O in a tank with a large Plec and a couple of B/N should the B/N be OK, sometimes looks like the O is stalking them and theyre hiding all the time now (used to sim around heaps. Should I give them time to adapt or move thembefore they get wasted :evil: Any thoughts????

I have a white molly that has a spot under its skin that started off black but has grown and become more of a lump and lost the blackness(kind of hard to explain :-? ) but also had a red lump come up on the tail end of its body which went away and now looks like another coming up on its side no other fish in the tank have any probs but wondering if I should seperate it from the rest???????????????? has been like this for a while and dont want an epidemic :evil: Any ideas

ok its not slimey and I cant just scoop it out it needs to be scrubed off ie ucing my fingernails so get it off the glass- sorry evil read yr reply wrong (Will try a pic tonight) will leave lights off stop using flourish and try some algae rid.

my community tank has a dark green covering over leaves wood stones and glass, even after a complete strip down and change of stones it is starting to spread again I use flourish excell (overdose just a little) It doesnt look too bad at the moment but if it takes off Ill be in trouble. any suggestions????????

Well my BN ate all the eggs That were in my community tank and the ones in my mothers tank got cleaned out, might set up my spare 4 foot tank when the females get fat again or can I put them in a tank with a sand/fine bottom :-? as my baby molly/platy tank might be the go (unless they eat the eggs 2?)

yeah coming on Sat Im only wishing he will let me buy it off him but doubt it (dreams are free) it will be going into my spare 4ft tank while he cleans his tank "when he gets around to it :evil: "

tHANKS GUYS THINK IT WILL BE THE WATER.ITS BEEN NEGLECTED A BIT AND HAD A COUPLE OF PLANTS DIE AND GO BAD . HOPEFULLY GET HIS FISH INTO MY SPARE TANK iM GETTING TOMMOROW AND GET HIM TO GIVE IT A GOOD CLEAN. OR GIVE IT TO ME ( THERES NO WAY i COULD AFFORD TO BUY IT ITS HUGE)

My brother inlaws Arro has started freakin out whenever people go up to the tank it has started jumping up at the top and has damaged its mouth. any ideas on how we can carm it down? :-?

so will peppered corys fertilise albino eggs? because I think my only male is a peppered and all the rest are Albino females ( I Think)

how do I determine there sex because the tank that has eggs only has 2 corys?

Can you use crushed up sea shells (from the beach) as a filter media instead of noodles. I know oyster shells raise the PH, what about normal Pipi shells etc? My PH is about 6.6 so neds to come up a bit! Just sick of buying noodles every time I set up a new filter and could be a free source of PH up and bacteria home?

As the title says, Id like to know if there are any plants that like minimal light, my computer room tank (the dark tank) has the light off most of the time and it gets very little sunlight. But would like a little greenery to help with natural filtration. (will have to be hardy as my large Plec used to knock the plants around in my planted tank)

Hi got about 15 or so juvenile convicts and want to know if there are any other fish that will mix with them and wont cause to much hassle. Also Ive just put a larger filter in there tank which has quite a bit of flow, do they like calm or a lot of movement in there water?

my large common plec has started comeing to the surfface and letting out a burping/gulpingnoise is this common?

DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD ASK HERE OR PLANTS but I turned down the flow on my waterfall type filter and added some aqua master plant food one day later the noodles in the filter look brown (the same colour as the plant food) Should I be worried)

Also could changing from tap water to rain water cause more algae?

Can anyone tell me where to get some decent soil/base for my planted tank (cheap or free from a river )?. the plants are looking sad and Im going to try to do it properly this time. just ordered 2 BIOLUX 58w tubes (5ft) 2L of flourish and some algae rid (gettin green stones and leaves-Yu ck :cry Should I start with new plants ore can plants recover/theyre not dead or falling to bit just lost there exubirance
