  1. Once again... Awesome. Thanks jake!
  2. Thanks. I havent seen it again since its been in the tank so hopefully its still alright. Not that it isnt expected for it to hide for ages lol.....
  3. I use fert balls under the swords, and have aquatic mix all over the tank underneath the sand aswell yea. Um i need to start looking for another light now. I might get all the bits and wire it up myself though, depending on what i can get...
  4. ah, so you did. I was looking in my hotmail inbox 8) LOL Thanks warren. Plan to see you there 8)
  5. Thanks mekhaela. Il try keep it updated!
  6. Heres a little bit better pic. Not too bad for a $300 camera.... I decided to border it in photoshop as it makes it look better
  7. I found this article about the mollies at tokaanu http://aquarticles.com/articles/travel/cooper_david_mollies_nz.html
  8. I dont take hardly an notification of pH. To me it is not a necessary thing to get perfect. as long as it is stable, it doesn't matter much
  9. weight it down near the bottom and it will grow new plants
  10. Well i got bored so did the LHS just before lol. Heres a pic of it just after i had topped the tank back up And i took this pic when the water level was 10cm below the top LHS has alot of growing in to do; good things take time Il try take a better pic once the water clears up
  11. Yea mine dug right in underneath the big leaves of my E. Amizonicus and layed
  12. hehe. it realy depends on how many different hiding places there are in the tank. Put a few more hidey places in before you put the kribs in and they will sort it out. Best to just buy a male and female, theres a 99% chance they will become a pair. Nice tank BTW
  13. Thanks guys, As i was just saying to ant just before, the picture actualy makes the LHS look better than it actually is.... Im not a HUGE fan of stem plants, just a few of them is good, but im a HUGE fan of swords (as you can probably tell (having 5 kinds in the tank, and another kind in a different tank 8) )) so yea....
  14. I either have, or have had kribs with all of those fish except gouramis and they have been sweet. I reckon you'l be sweet man
  15. Luke, i havent had a cover on this tank since ive had it. Open topped mate 8) Heres a crap pic (i need more room and a tripod!!) and i need to photoshop it to get rid of the posters on the wall 8) The right hand side im happy with, but once i get two more tubes and the presurised co2 setup im going to rip the whole left hand side out and put a big osiris sword as the feature and re-plant some small stems off the tops of the stem plants to let them grow in properly... Im just holding out ATM. Oh and i need to rip my hairgrass lawn out an re-plant it so it will fill in and grow properly!! Rogan
  16. Well this is the amazing part. The tank is a 500 tall, 250L tank and i only run 2 36W tubes. Just your average 6500K bunnings ones..... No co2 injection either. I have just bought a tunze regulator though so once i get a bottle the plants will start going nuts.... 8) Oh and another two tubes!!!
  17. Oh, i thought he made spelling mistakes and meant lake rotorua and rotoiti.... LOL!
  18. Thats the one mate. They would be sweet in a bucket for a few days yea. So you going from nelson to lake rotorua? Be cheaper to just buy glosso off someone man.....
