  1. oh sorry jsut re-read where it says nutrafin co2  my bad. looking awesome though! P.S. 'bush-pigging it up' ... hahahahahahahaha
  2. Looking mean guys, makes me want to start a proper planted tank again Zev, is that 40cm cube tank running my old co2 reg setup? Looks very nice!
  3. Not apple snail eggs though, so unless you have other snails then no they cant be eggs. apple snails lay their eggs above the water line, and in big clumps. Apple snail eggs are also Red
  4. Looking wicked man! Thats eels nice, wouldnt mind one of them to put in with my firemouths etc... the hoppys look wicked too man! That wavy plant in front of the driftwood looks like a balansae crypt (i think thats the one). If it has babys let me know! Or is that the aponogeton crispus you got off me? looks cool anyway
  5. I dont always have wood in with my Bristlenose (some have it some dont.) and i dont feed my bristlenose anything special, just what all my other fish eat (colourbits and flake) and every now and again they get trout pellets and/or shrimp pellets. I have had great success with BN, i have multiple full grown males and females and have at least two pairs breeding :-? Im not sure what has happened to yours, but i dont think it could be anything to do with lack of wood, lack of proper food, pH or anything similiar. I have BN breeding in a tank with a pH of around 6.2, and i also have them breeding in a tank with a pH of 8.... Keep us updated. id suggest keeping the water changes up! every 3-4 days preferably, they dont need to be big, just 10% or so
  6. Yea i third the white clouds. very nice fish once they fully colour up. Easy to care for, easy to breed
  7. Holy smokes! Beautiful fish Ron! and I thought mine was cool The fish in shot 2 has to be my Fav. is that the same fish as in pic 1?
  8. I can see all the pics.... nice BTW
  9. Put the Rams into their own tank and let them breed in peace
  10. There would definately be a market for home bred Rams, as most rams found in the shops are useless and just die. As for Bristlenose.... Well, been there, done that. The babys are sometimes hard to get rid of (well ive found that anyway) (says he who has BN eggs ATM )
  11. Wouldnt realy have a clue aye, probably just harrasment... Id get it isolated ASAP before it gets worse
  12. You still got your old African tank there? Id suggest quickly setting it up and putting it in by itself.
  13. This one herefishiefishie? http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/BODY_FA006
  14. lol he looked so funny under their today  That fish trap idea might work Mark, just make it small enough that anything else cant fit into it.....
  15. ahk that sorts things then, sweet score
  16. Nice but you will be breeding it, most probably, with one of its siblings. not the best thing to do, but pretty much the only way to get them established in the country which is a bit of a bummer, starting with weak bloodlines....
  17. Yea thats how it could work, but for example on one tank i just have two pots, and a heater in the tank... thats it  No substrate, plants, etc
  18. It should only take overnight with an airstone barrie as they provide a fair bit of surface aggitation. A week is a little bit overkill. As long as you cant smell chlorine anymore than its all good
  19. I have a 200l barrel (which i happened to get from Dimebag, who got it from the place he saaid about) and i have it in my fishroom. It has an airstone connected to my air system, and a 300W heater. Instant heated, de-chlorinated water overnight. i also have a pump in it which a pipe is connected too so i just turn the switch on, chuck the hose in the tank and it fills it up Its so easy that i am motivated to do water changes daily on my breeding tanks
  20. Get the filter you want to use in the new tank, and put it in the old established tank for two weeks or so. then just transfer some water over, transfer the filter over, and chuck a heater in. quick cycle.. Or you could be like me and setup a tank, fill it with water, put a heater in and put the fish in. half my breeding tanks dont have filters, they just run on a heater and airstone, and i do water changes every day or two....
  21. Mine came today aswell. Once again, great job Caryl!
  22. Oh and no need to be sorry Jim, It could read either way
