  1. Wow, very impressive! Looks awesome. I like the rock work
  2. And you'll pass it on to me, aye Ben  :bounce:
  3. yea the mix is great...well as far as I can tell  I like the colour of the tank that they make the tank I managed to get the bulb in after a bit of a hassel getting the MH unit apart and back together. The tank looks a bit yellow though. I think it's because I had to move one of the blue T5's back so that the light from the MH could get through. Might also be because the bulb is brand new. I think they are great. They have increased the amount of light going into my tank heaps!! I would definately recommend them to all
  4. Sure is. Man, you should have seen dads face when I showed him I had gotten new lights...Priceless  He was happy when I took the MH off and explained to him that the lighting was now using about half the power it was before.
  5. Very nice!! nice close ups too
  6. Well I have gotten my new lights :bounce: 4x T5 HO's :bounce: :bounce: I've have just done a rush job to set them up over my current tank as I couldn't wait for the new tank  Old lighting setup: 1x 150W MH 2x 18W blue attinics (sp?) 1x 15W random white bulb I had at the time New lighting setup: 1x 150W MH 2x 24W Marine blue T5 1x 24W 18000K T5 1x 24W 6700K T5 I could only find 3 reflectors, but I'm pretty sure I have more...so I have stuck two T5's under one for now. I also didn't trust my temporary lighting setup   so I am going to go without the MH untill I can build something to support them all safely over the new tank. I guess you can see why... So once removing the MH this is what my tank currently looks like: And yes that is the heater in the middle of the tank and that is a hole lot of green algae on the front glass that I haven't bothered scrapping off (can't find the scrapping thing-a-ma-jig)
  7. I think I will be going for a steel frame for a stand and then covering it in something nice, but will probably end up being wood.
  8. ahh I see. Good idea, thanks :bounce:
  9. Don't quite understand. I was planning to have the pipe go stright down from the overflow?
  10. Good point  Highly recommend it
  11. Hey everyone, I have been planning to upgrade for quite a while now and the time has finally come!! :bounce: :bounce: I have got the main ideas sussed but just thought i'd run it past everyone just incase something was forgotten or if anything could be improved. I'm going to be doing a cube type setup 700x700x600. I want to have an overflow box in the corner of the tank will two holes drilled so I can run a full syphon and a back up to the sump. In terms of lighting, at the moment I am looking at 1x150W MH and 4x 24W T5's. I am planning on getting a return pump around 4000L/H and also a tunze 6100 (I think that was the one) stream and possibly a controller to go with that. I'll also be getting a better skimmer, still not entirely sure of whats going to be happening in that department yet. I'll also have a thin layer of sand about 10mm. Just having the sand purely because I like the look and I don't think my sleeper goby would enjoy not having anything to keep him busy. These are some pics I did in paint to show you guys the sort of thing I am wanting And the sump design which looks a bit confusing but I hope it makes sense A plan view of the sump Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated
  12. Poped into work today and saw that you are getting quite confident with this anemone chopping business  just practicing for the rose ha? :bounce:
  13. An answer to a question:
  14. Yea I'm ready. I haven't done any paintballing down here at all. Although there is avery cool indoor place. Saving as much money as possible for my upgrade 8) . I'll probably come visit you at work on monday to have a chat about it if that's sweet
  15. I did that with a digital camera when I went to Vanuatu (ziplock bag though) Worked well, as in the bag didn't leak, but the pictures were pretty useless.
  16. Not this Sat but next. I Drive back up this weekend, so i'f you guys are short staffed next week i'll be keen for a few days extra work. If there's none don't worry about it
  17. my guess would be the corys, but I may be mistaken, what sort do you have?
  18. ahh I see, that makes sence, I think i'll try breeding the male with each female seperatly and see what happens. Again, thanks for the info
  19. I emailed my mum, who is looking after my fish atm and asked her to have a look at the albinos to see which ones have the dots on them and she recons that they all have dots on them. I'll double check when I get home and let you know. But according to your info rcon, if they are all the same type of albino they shouldn't produce any normal BN babies should they? Or maybe some of the genetics mentioned earlier in this thread is comming into play.
  20. Nice pics. Some of your growth is looks pretty awesome, especially that ?scroll? can't remember what it is called
  21. looking back at the pics that I posted. The female deffinately looks like she has the white spots and the male seems to have them as well so it may be that my other female doesn't have the spots.
