  1. I still use nz couriers rung them talked to them about it, then rung the chief animal inspector in NZ at the SPCA he said it was stupid rung nz couriers and now they have no problems Initially they were saying that the SPCA said I had to take my fish to my local SPCA office before I sent them to ensure they were humanely packaged before I coudl send them and get a signed letter from them for each box.. After talking with the SPCA it sounds like that was all rubbish and noone really knows whats going on.
  2. Then there is prestige http://s1.zetaboards.com/PrestigeAquati ... products1/ which is supposed to be as good as NLS made is aussie and alot cheaper, plus available in 10kg buckets so alot cheaper per kg especially if you split it.. There is a guy looking at bringing it into NZ but I haven't heard anything for a while http://s1.zetaboards.com/PrestigeAquati ... 2516932/1/
  3. Anything with a black top 4age in it is alot of fun and quite easy to get them going faster.. Other than that you would probably be looking at a turbo I am unsure what sort of reliability you would get for those $$?
  4. Are you running a system that creates its own restore points, easiest way is to check where the last restore point is and restore to there.. Only issue is you will loose any data that has been added since then.. Is your computer a shop brought complete system? Or a home made one.. Most of the shop brands have model numbers and complete drivers for each model number can be found on the manufacturers website. If it is a branded one then let us know the make/model and I am sure someone will be able to find the correct driver and link you to the download..
  5. Plenty of info out there on the net, I know like most foods it is only from the maker so you have to be careful what you believe but some good reading.. http://nlsfishfood.com/ http://www.cichlid-food-canada.com/
  6. They are a big Canadian brand that is supposed to be right up there on quality, alot of african keepers overseas use it... I have used it before and it was awesome I want to get some more it is just expensive to get into NZ.. I can't really compare it to the foods you are using as I haven't used them.. The prestige range from Aussie is supposed to be very good too, alot cheaper than NLS too there is a guy trying to import it in bulk to NZ and the samples he sent went well for me..
  7. These guys would have been around 2-3cm long at the time, they are now adults and going really well still
  8. Yeah I have had the same thing with africans a tank filled with yellows and peacocks they are tough as
  9. lol well they have been here, and almost made it back again But not to be.. Nice pics BTW aussie is an awesome place for things like this, although I hear they might be getting slammed on fish species soon
  10. Just stretch the budget a little and get a school of L046 I hear they are not that shy if you keep them in groups of more than 6 (I can't back this up at all but would be cool lol).
  11. I don't think with a standard ceiling height you will be able to stack 3 4x2x2 tanks with enough access to get in and out of them, I mean you are looking at 1.8 in height without taking into account the timber (add another .3) then access into the tanks (add at least 600 probably more) you are then looking at a stand that stands 2.7 tall..
  12. Yeah so far the tank crawls haven't happened that often mainly because we are only just starting out as a club but we hope to make them more regular as we get more sorted Anyone is always welcome to visit here if they are coming through Bulls though.. Jelz glad you found a female bristlenose I had one here for you too but you disappeared lol.
  13. I have to second that Thanks for coming and it was good to put another name to a face..
  14. You did seem to end up in an awful lot of photos there Kash? And yep they are my Dubs, funny how he managed to get a pic of all of the tropheus in the tank but miss the shellies..

  16. It is an interesting discussion one of which I am yet to decide on... I do know that one of the catch lines of NLS to justify its high cost is they reckon it is so full of goodness and not fillers that it actually goes alot further than other foods.
  17. Nice pics Simon, thanks to everyone that came today sorry about all the disasters lol Correction Simon Jills tank is 8ft, it is 8 x 3 x 2ft I think Kash took a few more pics..
  18. Sorry to say unless the fish is really special you are better off bouncing it as it is hard to treat, you can try salt bathes or pp dips..
  19. Awesome I still have to put these kids to bed and go and sort out the fishroom so it is actually in a state for people to come into..
  20. Nice tank man, well done, can't wait to see it with the black aro in it..
  21. lol that is brilliant Stupid demasoni..
  22. Demasoni and yellows can cross breed, it is unlikely due to them being completely different genus but it has happened before, same with yellows and red zebras.. I stripped a mouth full of demasoni the other day and got a heap of radoms out of her mouth, they are kept with brown haps, empresses, peacocks the babies I stripped like like red empress babies. I fed them out anyway as you just don't know what they are but I suspect the female demasoni picked up and raised another fishes babies.
  23. I have some Simon and some duct tape/tie wraps we will give him a nice hair cut.. Maybe a reverse Mohawk?
