  1. I have had a similar experience with red tails myself. I found that when they got to a certain size they would attack all the orange and red fish in the tank and would sneek up on other fish and eat the slime of them causing fungus to grow and killing the fish
  2. I use Fosroc RTV silicone on all of my tanks and was able to get it from Placemakers, a good glazier that manufatures tanks should have it
  3. No I didn't know that Caryl went down there the other day but they didn't seem to have much. Yes some days we can smell the dog roll factory but not too often
  4. I remember reading an article somewhere about feeding Cichlids dog roll, basically said the same as you have said. Don't remember where I read it though. There is a dog roll factory at the back of where I work most of a dog roll seams to be fat they also put a bit of Salmon in too not sure what else They get in this stuff up to there knees and put it in bins to put in a giant mixer, makes your stomach churn.
  5. Hi Pegasus To be honest the fish have been a bit neglected lately and I have had a couple of deaths. I lost my female Discus really p@#%#d me of as they had been spawning and I had moved them to a breeding tank I also lost my Red spot plec. I have been too busy with work ( I sell performance car accessories ) and have not had much time for the fish. But I have been trying to forget the work in the last couple of weeks and spend some time relaxing and doing the things I used to do before work got crazy.

I kept an Aplocheilus lineatus in my community tank it was an amazing aset to the tank as it always swum in the upper region of the tank and was an amazing yellow with a greenish tinge had a neat personality aswell 8)
  7. Jack would be aprox 7 inches long
  8. I had nine Jack Dempseys I got them from a breeder who was the father of a friend in Springfeild They all got along Fine in a tank in our bed room. I got home from work one lunch hour and my wife told me I had better go and check out the tank because something was going on. Seven of the fish had been eaten whole, two were left and didn,t like each other. I seperated them. I kept one outside in a pond over the summer He loved to eat the white tipped spiders that use to fall of the side of the house into the pond . When the weather begain to cool down I sold him through a local dealer and he is still doing well. My one remainig fish 'Jack' is my pet. He watches your every move when I enter my fish room and if he's hungry he will slap his tail on the side of the tank at the end that I feed him and then stalks me until I feed him. He has the most amazing personality
