    Help

Sounds like a bacteria outbreak. What size is the tank? How many goldfish? What size goldfish? What type of filter? How much water do you change weekly? How much do you feed daily? Put the sick fish in plactic container and sit it in the tank (so its away from the other fish).

    Temperature

18C is to low for angels. http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/539.htm I set my aqua-minder to 24C to 28C.
  7. That will be the first thing i do if im successful. If they don't have any ask them to get you some from another warehouse store, thats what i did want i wanted some more. They come with lids too.
  8. I dont know if they are acrylic or not (some type of plastic). I brought several from the warehouse for about $15 each (To cheap to be acrylic i think). They are very handy little tanks .
  9. Yes i have 12 bumble bee's. Two breeding tanks setup with 6 in each, They have laid eggs in snail shells but i can not get the eggs to hatch. So not successful yet.
  10. Put spawning mats or plants in the tank for the female to lay the eggs on and as alanmin4304 said condition them with lots of live food, give them freshwater and raise the temperature about 2 degrees. Once the fish have spawned remove the eggs and put them in a shallow container/tank (about 10cm deep) with water from the spawning tank at the same temp. When the fry have consumed there yolk feed them infusoria, baby brine shrimp, daphnia then after about a week start feeding them finely powdered flake food. KEEP THE WATER CLEAN.
  11. Bumble bee gobys are great little fish, They are brackish water fish (but some people kept them in freshwater). I feed them bloodworms, whiteworms, brine shrimp and daphnia, mine dont like flake food. A tank with lots of rocks and plants is a good idea so individuals can establish territories, sometimes they fight over food (very funny to see 2 bumblebee's play tagawar with a worm) If you want to try breeding them (not very easy) put 6 or more in a tank with the salinity around 1.010-1.015 wait about a week then add freshwater (lowering the salinity sometimes triggers spawning). When ready to breed the females will have a fuller body and the males black bars may fad.
  12. Thanks shiuh, I see you have some great guppies too. Your bottomsword tail guppy is cool as. (have you breed him) The fry tanks are about $10-$15 from the warehouse.
  13. Here's some of my livebearers. More here: http://photobucket.com/albums/y9/sic2005/fish/Guppies/ http://photobucket.com/albums/y9/sic2005/fish/Mollies/ http://photobucket.com/albums/y9/sic2005/fish/platies/
  14. Some ghost knife's like to built caves in gravel.
  15. Lionhead are my favorite fish. Ive had them for about 3 year now. The other name is lumpheads.
  16. My lounge temp here is 33.5C with air con going!! The tanks are 28.5C. My fishroom temp is 31C. The tanks are 27.5C Outside temp is 38C The large pond temp is 27C Daphnia pond is 32C!!!
  17. They are just normal wild form sliver angelfish. The kiddies are growing fast, about 1cm now. Yes i have the tank completely covered now.
  18. I found him inside a cabinet, so he must have jumped out.... poor fish I have about 100 fry from him so his gene's will live on.
  19. It was in a tank with its girlfriend and fry so cant have got eaten with in 12hours. The tank has a lid but it was only covering half the top. I cant find it no where, the dogs or cat may have got it.
  20. One of my angels has disappeared I went to feed them and only one was there the other must have jumped out of the tank
  21. I use to keep guppies with two adult red eared sliders and never lost any fish (excluding fry). Just keep the turtles well feed and put some plastic plants in the tank for the fish to hide in. Red eared sliders eat more fish and insects when young, switching to more plants as they age. This is a good site with alot of info about red eared sliders: http://www.redearslider.com/
  22. Thanks alan, i like them too. The male is on the left and female on the right.
  23. Wait to all the fry are free swimming before you start feeding. Snails help but are not a must have, just make sure you clean the stuff of the bottom of the tank and change the water daily. I change about 30% daily and feed my fry bbs and microworm 3 to 5 times a day. My angels with there fry: http://photobucket.com/albums/y9/sic200 ... th_fry.jpg http://www.zippyvideos.com/160943022328 ... _with_fry/
