Sounds like it will be a nice tank! I used to have blue cobalt gouramis. That tryed to breed. Very cool fish. Used to spit water up from the tank into my fingers and wash some white worms from them. much like a female betta I had. Good luck

Also depending on the size of your tank. maybe some cherry barbs or other small schooling groups. Which look great in a planted tank!

You could get some bristlenose catfish. lovly things. And you can make your money back prety fast if they decide to breed. Female bettas your right do have smaller fins. But some of them pump out some great colours. I used to have one with albino guppies. And she used to jump out of the open tank lid and eat white worms from my fingers. Cute little things too!

I only hate decisions when later on they are the wrong ones :lol: . You might want to look up flag fish. They are a dwarf cichlid.

I try not to mess around with the Ph to much, chemically that is. So i dont know if you can do much about it. cause if your water suply has a low Ph. As soon as you do a water change its going to change again. Also having a smaller tank is harder to keep the ph and ammonia levels down cause of the such small water volume. If you say 6.0 ph what seems about nutral if i remember. That sounds Fine to me. Actualy that sound quite nice depending on what your fish prefer. -
Hiya what Bluetom said. Ive found that female Bettas are fine with guppies. But what I dissargee with is the "the guppys will bred like made if you give them the right conditions" The'll breed in anything and anywhere no matter how much you dont want them to!! :lol:

Wouldnt happen to have a spare female albino krib would you?????? Cherry barbs are quite nice too IMO. Man tough life ay....carnt decide what your going to put in your tank

perhaps they are sorting out the 'peeking order' but just in case 're-tank' him.

I used to get simalar problem with guppies. They used to get red spots on them. It was just them fighting amonst themselfs. Loads of sites recommend 1 - 3 male to females raito. But 2 - 3 has worked fine aswell

Perhaps some Zebra Danios? They livin the tank up with their zippy movement!

I used to breed them in a cold water tank, which lots of plants like cabomba and ambulia! Java moss too! are great little fish and go well with out fish.

Hiya. Heres my colony of BNCF. Will get some more pictures soon. Small female Note how suken in her belly is. Thats cus the next pic is her babies! New babies large female Tank there in. But has changed!

It could be that the fish are just nipping at each other. Someone times fish can get caught in the inlet house of the filter. Treat the water with some melafix and he should come to. P.S my 300th post yay!~

Florish is quite good. But im not sure about undergravel fertilisers. But if you have good lighting then i wouldnt bother!
