  17. it was the (bitch)Damsel....after I completly dismantled the tank and took all the rockwork out to clean...the tank needed a good cleanout after a year and a half....and I wanted to change the look of the tank....saw the yellow damsel flicking the sand with her tail.
  18. I dont know if anyone can help but.....the sand in my tank is being moved at night while the lights are out....large amounts of sand are being (dug) up as if a dog has been digging a hole in the sand....I cant see anything in the tank but every morning big holes are everywhere....anyone else have this happen???
  19. Hey how about we all have a day when we can have a (tank open day)or (weekend) in auckland, when we all can have a tour of everyones tanks...it would be great to see in person what everyone is doing.....and get pointers (in person) from everyone on our own tanks....

    sand

What works for some doesn't work for others....NO TWO MARINE TANKS ARE THE SAME OR WORK THE SAME WAY. Sand in a tank works perfectly for some....others it doesnt......its trial and error when setting up any system..... no matter HOW much "knowledge" you have...some things just DONT work. And having TOO much knowledge can work (against you)...makes life very difficult when theres nothing (new) to learn....or experience...
  21. Deep Blue water isnt safe for marines......they have been caught out by consumer as using tap water to fill there bottles....(pure dew) is safe.
  22. Wouldn't "wet pets" in palmy be able to get the stuff you need for your tank??

    Eels

If you go to Auckland museum they have a huge yellow morey eel in a marine tank....he just sits there and steers at you from under the rocks....they also have a great reef tank...
