new toys now installed 6100 streams 7095 controller arcadia 3 mh now let the fun begin :bounce: it has been a long time but worth the wait. my tank now needs stocking but i'd like to say a big thankyou to everyone who gave me good advice and the benefit of their experience. more beginners questions sure to follow :lol:

awesome if you can.thanks. currently just dropping thru std filter wool which takes out a bit but could be alot better. was thinking to do just as you said and discard after a day or so to avoid nitrates buildup.

i didnt see steves avatar but if its true then he does have bad taste in cars and thoroughly deserves a ban. 8) i drive subaru and think most other brands are an embarasment to the state of the art roading system we have here in auckland. :lol: personally i think other brands should be crushed and dumped on south auckland streets at night, so he should count himself lucky he got off so lightly!!

ok..nothing better to do sunday...plastic box that hangs on side, 2x layers filter wool,1x layer new t/towel, 2x layers stocking oh... also cool plastic steps to access tank :oops: saves standing on the dining chairs.

was thinking about a canister filter to run occasionally, but if i can get something fine enough, my tankwater would drop through it at at 2700lts/hr anyway.??anything out there finer than wool.( i'd discard it regularly of course)

thats what im trying to avoid. trouble is i can now see all this crap
