Ohhhh yeah that's right she told me that there was a whole bunch of crossed zebra in their to cause someone stuffed up and they all went in the same tank and breed. But she said not the bumblebee?! :lol:

Yeah probably was the same lady I was askin her bout the "Blue Auratus" like what their scientific name and she's like BLUE AURATUS and I said but their not they are a different species! I mean I maybe wrong but I thought they would be johanni or something but who knows. Pffft whatever :roll:

Yup good ol' Petcity a family member gave me some vouchers so I got him as a bumblebee. But yeah I got it as was nice colour whatever it is? :roll:

Everyone is on the same lines as me so far but I have a little itsy bitsy scrap of something hoping that it is something else and not a cross. The shop wasn't selling it as one! (a kenyi that is) I'll try and get some photos when the tank light is on during the day. Anyone else got some stabs?

If I was you I would have a look at the topic "who's breeding what" in the general breeding forum and go from there. Rcon021 is breeding all those tropheus except the reds, but get in quick bcause I beleive there is a waiting list. If you want Frontosa's would highly recommend the ones on trademe.

They take there time then dont they :roll: Mine is at 3wks. She has 4 I can see and I also took 3 fry out the other day that were floating so I guess she is cutting down on numbers as they get bigger perhaps. She is only bout 7-8cm roughly.

Do you know how far along that is usaully? Is it somewhere between 3 and 4 weeks of holding or?

Perhaps the river rocks and normal substrate could be bringing the ph down and cancelling some of the buffers you have in the tank :-?

I think it may have too many stripes for a kingsizei? What is the main colour blue or gray, blue/gray??

Here's a couple of pictures of what I have. Duboisi and a Frontosa Tropheus sp. red & Julidiochromis Marlieri I got some Leleupi but no pix yet. Use to have these guy's. Neolamprologus Pulchers "Daffodil"

I would agree with everyone bout the Pulchers, once they do decide to breed they will take over the tank. My Pulchers that I had would tolerate a Ph of 6.8-7.0 if they had to(when I was slack with water changes :roll: ). They were in a community tank with bolivian rams,fire eel and so forth Stop looking at me like that.
