Hey all, thought id ask..

Heading up to auckland to look for a new car, likely import, euro accord wagon or atenza or similar.

Was heading to botany/pakuranga area and probably the manukau end of great south road...

I realise there are dealers all over the place, time is of the essence, so cant be going all over the place, so are there any real good spots where a number of larger dealers have yards with good stock?

There is Great South Rd Greenlane West, quite a few dealers there. Where Broadway meets Manukau Rd, Great South Rd and Alpers Ave there is a big Honda dealership and a a couple of european places like Continental cars within about 50m of that.

Further away I think there are a few at the Papatoetoe end of Great South Rd.

I reckon, shop around for cars you like off trademe and then get a bunch of dog and lemon guides on those cars. It'll help you cut down the well known bad cars like the Mazda cappella.

Get a Toyota, like I did, The only 'issue' was the power steering made a noise after sitting a day or two, turned out it need power steering fluid.

Pretty much decided on a 2.4L Euro accord wagon, They have got a decent boot without being a ford/holden with the bigger engines.

I reckon, shop around for cars you like off trademe and then get a bunch of dog and lemon guides on those cars. It'll help you cut down the well known bad cars like the Mazda cappella.
