hi everyone, i live in the bay of plenty and currently have a small 120 litre community tank and a 4 foot american chiclid setup both of which i want to get rid of to start an african tank, i am looking forward to asking questions and sourcing fish for my new venture :wave:posting.php?mode=post&f=19#

thanks mate am quite excited, i thought i would use coral sands and live rock to alter ph as the bore water i am on can be as acidic as 6.4, also do you know of anyone interested in large american chiclids eg severums clown knife geophagus jack dempsey red parrot convict plecos.

i am very new to africans but think i will try fish from the mbuna group

Just start a thread with what you are proposing etc & it will help you a lot.

you can post for sale threads in the trade & exchange area here.

Good luck with your African tank, I just finished setting mine up. Heaps of help in here i just used the search function, it works quite well i usually did a general search and then you can search again within the results to narrow it down
