I'm not sure if I like it or not :?

It sort of reminds me of a Japanese pagoda garden.

I will give it a few days and if it doesn't grow on me i will have to do a rearrange

I think your on to something there P44.

If all the rocks were flat everything would blend in much better.

Its not a display tank but it still has to be pleasing to the eye.

Ryan, a good pleco is always lurking in the shadows and not in your face and showing off like an African

Reece, if you bring the edge of the top rocks over the front edge of the slate caves slightly, you won't see the difference in rock shape so much. All you will see is the bump of the round rock and the little doorway underneath.

Dont plecs need/like driftwood?

Not all of them. Panaques, BNs, etc need wood and like it.

Hypans, not so much as they are more meat / higher protein eaters.

Dont plecs need/like driftwood?

As p44 said, Not all need wood in their diet.

The tank in the photo actually has 3 pieces of wood in it, they are at the other end of the tank from the stones and caves.

I have decided to have a change around the following pic is my new inspiration. I especially like the gravel

Thats a good thought Sophia, I might give it a try.

Has your Windelov arrived yet?

hello

hasn't arrived yet, I will camp at the mailbox tonight and spring out when the postie goes past :D

i think the issue we face is how we look at it comparing everything in there. you/they have created an un-natural shape so if you disguise it it won't stick out like the proverbial. see how the wood is covering part of the cave on the left, why not place something a few inches in front of each cave to break up the box shapes being in direct line of sight, place a piece of wood or rock 3 inches in front & that way you won't be comparing the boxes to the round or irregular shapes. i will serve a purpose but not "be in your face"
