Just thought it'd be cool to know what people have named some of their fish?

Pokey - GBA (bf named him)

Why name somthing I may have to eat! LOL

My friend called my new tadies Tad and Pole ( :roll: ) Tad's a tad fat and Pole's skinny(er when compared with Tad) :lol:

Looking back at that list, I can't believe almost all my fish have names. :oops:

I name most of my fish :oops:

I pick names from tv progs and books that I like.

Here goes:

7 different angels : Susie, Abby, Chuny, Joey, Maggie, Tony and Lyney (they all had to have y sounds at the end of their names)

2 Yoyo Loaches - Chuck and Luka

Red tailed Shark - Gil (as in Gil grissom)

My bronze cory that was the first fish I breed is Cosmo

Thats all the fish I've named.. unfortunatly the otheres are hard to tel apart

Funny, I've named the miniature clever I use for cutting up shrimp and other fish food (Chopper), but I've never named any of my fish....

My bala is called Bruce, named after the shark in Jaws :-)

I have wayyyyy toooo mny too count especially all the tetras and the fish im breeding :roll: :oops: lol

I haven't named any of my fish, though my flatmates have named some over the years:

group of glass catfish = 'the grannies' since they thought they looked like a group of grannies all nattering away

the Malabar/dwarf puffer (deceased) = 'Julie' because it reminded him of a previous flatmate i.e. vicious and trying to appear bigger than it really was.

I used to name all my fish but after a few deaths years ago they just get called whatever they are. We have oscar, syno and our clown knife is Knifee. Years ago when we had an arowana my partner wanted to call him Marowana, I soon put a stop to that.

only 1 frog has a nickname (i have 2) its houdini as he has escaped a few times

Unfortunately I don't have sajicas anymore - there may be some lurking in the Hawkes Bay - I'd provided Warren with some, which were apparently breeding like crazy. Don't think Warren's got any tanks going at the moment but I assume he must have passed the fish on to other people down/over there.
