ghostface
Geek not a bad idea, you could poss. rig up a ph meter etc to it as well I was thinking of doing a webcam to my tank to kill time at work...
misnoma
Heh, do it I have a webcam here, just need to mount it somewhere so it gives a half-decent picture, was purchased for that exact reason hehe

Rocketman
I already have a stand alone data logging device that records 20 minute samples ( for three months in the tank ) The webcam thing can be done I need to finish some other things first around the house
misnoma
In-tank Heh, I was very tempted, would need to put a wide-angle lens infront of the webcam though. It'll def be hard up against the glass, so there's no reflection etc.
cees
Rocketman, Tell me more about your weather station. What do you use, where did you get the equipment etc etc. (did I mention I want one) btw, http://www.tokaanuskihire.co.nz/ I love that shop. We go skiing for a week every year and stay at tokaanu. Was there 4 weeks ago. Great people at the skihire shop. Highly recommend them. Cees

Duke
I also have a weather station "La Crosse" it record rain fall, humidity indoors, indoor and out door temp, due point, wind direction and wind strength etc etc. Got this in NZ for $500 works good, you don't have to empty the rain sensor and it tells you how much rain in the last hr 24hrs and total. Good when you have tank water, also interesting when you live in Hunua with all the rain.
Rocketman
Weather display software will work with any Weather station ( including the La cross ) Really depends on your budget . I have another two stations that cost over 20K ( Americas Cup sydicate were using the information )
